People should understand, Michelle was Barak's boss/mentor in the beginning. After the love affair, she supported his ambitions. This is the former 1st lady, sitting casually amongst aspiring women like a regular person. HIGHLY educated woman, who has experienced life in a way most will not. Yet, easily relatable & being a role model with ease. Just WOW ❤

This conversation was legendary for so many reasons: 1. Most young people are so disconnected from their elders due to social media limiting the idea of people practicing interpersonal skills. 2. Most older people are so critical of younger people and their poor choices and poor communication skills. 3. We live in a generation of time that rarely caters to the importance of the idea of having a healthy tribe.4. People rarely still value the important simple things in life.

It was at the end when Michelle says she's always been this way and known since a little girl is SO inspiring to me that I literally cried. Because some of us have that voice inside us who know we're going to make an impact but those around us may not be able to see it, which makes you out yourself and think that you are being conceited or thinking too highly of yourself. But this woman has literally become the first Black woman in history to be the first Lady and to think that it started with TRUE self belief -not just the "we all got this" is powerful. I don't know where I'll be in life but I know I'll be somewhere that matters ❣️❣️❣️

I disagree. She is intelligent and articulate and charismatic. But she needs to stop interrupting. Minutes 19-21 were difficult for me when all I could hear was Angie’s loud voice interrupting. We women get excited when we are SEEN and HEARD but we must learn to curb the enthusiasm and give everyone their turn to talk. It’s one of my pet peeves. I love that I bumped into this conversation because it validated feelings I’ve had for a very long time. When I get interrupted and my facial expression reveals that it bothers me, people get offended. But they’re the ones who slipped up! So why should I care too much about their reaction? If they value me and my preferences, why not honor them so the friendship can continue? Why should I be the one who suffers because I revealed vulnerability and asked to be respected just as I respect you? That’s when I realized this is not a true friend.

At 67 now, I recall as a little black girl, when blacks were on TV, black & white, no color. Someone's kid would run the block yelling, black people on tv... S.H.E. who I "love" her music hit the nail on the head saying, when they won, she was impacted. we as a people we won, we did have more confidence and pride and that we counted. Ms. Michelle Obama was the best first black woman for instance, a gracious, gentle, powerful, example of intelligence, character, warmth humor and style and beauty of a First Lady in the White House. I loved the panel and the camaraderie and sister hood. All ages were covered. Enjoyed very much,I too took away some golden nuggets too. 🥰😉 Thank You.

H.E.R chimed in at the perfect points. Kelly, touched the hearts of black women all around the world when she spoke about the importance of seeing a brown skin girl as First Lady for not only herself but also for her son. Tina when she touched on not feeling qualified to speak due to not being educated but how she rises above that was so inspiring to hear. Winnie when she talked about confidence… good job Queens! keep inspiring the world! 😍

I’m currently going through this and this is crazy bc I just recorded a video I’m editing now with me talking about bringing back communities. My trust issues for so long stopped me from connecting and being my authentic self out of fear of being hurt again, but that’s what the healing stage was for. I’m done taking life and my light for granted! Thank you guys for this beautiful episode ❤

The elder women imparting wisdom to the younger women is what is needed! I also took note of Kelly's respect toward Michelle Obama by addressing her as, Mrs. Obama --- love that. The following statement from Mrs. Obama resounded with me, "Let your challenges be your superpower."

Watching this conversation between these beautiful women of color meant so much to me, as I am experiencing one of the darkest times of my life right now. This video gave me the boost I needed today, and hopefully this week, to keep pushing forward. I don’t have a community of black women around me, and I can see how it has greatly affected my life, and my confidence. Thank you to every woman in this video especially Michelle Obama for being classy, talented, educated, kind, transparent, encouraging, and inspiring examples for us all.💞

It took me two days to get through this video. Several moments had me ready to cry; both Barak and Michelle Obama have inspired me in more ways than I can ever express, Madame Michelle especially, and I'm forever thankful to God for them. I was 8 years old when they entered the White House, and they were the first political figures I was ever exposed to and the first people aside from my parents to show me leadership. Now, it wasn't until their second term that I began to grasp just what them being there meant for the country and to me, though once I did, my life and worldview changed: on leadership, on civic engagement, on how to create change, and eventually on relationships, too. Seeing Madame Michelle share her life and connect with people through her platform and regardless of it captivates my heart and inspires me; I hope and aspire to do the same for others ❤

After I watched this interview in my head I'm like "now I realize why Michelle is very respected and a idol in people eyes". Growing up Michelle was every little girls role model because she was the first black- First Lady and that's it tbh (this was in 5th grade) . But now that I'm older and mature and learned more about the type of person she is. I now feel like she's someone I "aspire" to be.

I'm so surprised that Michelle is speaking such real, conservative ideas in practice of her personal life. I'm glad I watched this video and heard such truth and honest values from some one so many look to as an example. It actually gives me hope for the future. It just proves the importance of listening to each other and finding our commonality, not demonizing and viewing others as unqualified to speak just because of party lable. If we are ever going to address real problems we must learn how to hear past party lines & appreciate the humanity of each other. The Press really is a machine that manipulates the reality of our humanity. Thank you for sharing this round table. 🥰

Thank you for this ladies, didn’t realize how much I needed to hear this. Many topics spoken about happen to be what I had been going through recently with, setting boundaries, anxieties, & hearing everyones voice to a point you can’t hear yours. I had to suspend myself from social media, ended up changing my # & pretty much detaching myself from the world to find & attach to me again. To hear my voice, & believe in her again & in my gut, my intuition. She (I) needed me & needed to take my life back, don’t ever let this world make you into an extra or supporting character, you are the main character in your life & pursuer of your destiny, so be that, fight for her, be free & be who you were always meant to be (it starts with practice) but you will learn who she is & why those chapters were meant in your destiny❤😊.
