Kerry, every Christmas my mom would cook what she called a New England boiled dinner. It was boiled ham, cabbage, and potatoes. But, the weird part is that we would pour vinegar all over it! Needless to say I don’t eat it anymore. Another weird combo is a friend eats Captain Crunch with Mac n Cheese powder all over it. Ewww! Kerry I loved loved loved 🥰 your book one of the best autobiographical books I’ve ever read. Thank you for sharing your truth with us all. Your book helped me move past something I was holding on too. I just love you Kerry. Best wishes ❤

Jolly Ranchers and Pickles? Woah. lol.... I feel Kerry and Kelly on the Oatmeal Cookies and cheese. My family ate the same kind of snack. As for cheese sandwich with jelly, we ate toasted cheese bread with jelly or honey. Folks in the neighborhoods where I grew up, and even some of the corner stores, ate/sold a big pickle with peppermint stick in the middle. We also ate/bought plain potato chips with pickle juice poured onto it. Hahaha... we ate a lot of pickles. I also remember eating nacho cheese sauce on Flaming Hot Cheetos.

Kelly has so MUCH talent and she's a much more grounded person, than I think she knows and you can hear it in this conversation. She's has much more talent than people give her credit for, she's really a "STANDOUT/BOSS". Here's wishing her continued success in whatever she choose in life.
@bri310 Жыл бұрын
I'm actually grateful for this episode because, truth be told for years, Kelly was presented to the world like she had no real identity or start of her own. I know as fans we know her, but it always seemed like she had no family, and it was just Tina and Matthew that raised her as though she would've otherwise been on the street. This foundation actually makes perfect sense to who she is. It's important because how many people don't know where they are from and their whole identity is based on only a period or place in their life. Nothing about those crucial years or their history or ancestors, so it's nice to know about Kelly as just little Kelandria and the key women in her life.

Happy to see Kelly engage with Kerry; two of my favorite people. Kerry did a lot of interrupting with questions instead of letting Kelly fully answer questions. Kerry was kind of guiding the conversation with lots of small questions mid answer. Refreshing to hear questions asked that didn't bring up the names of people Kelly are associated with. Kelly remained the star, the center and the subject focus of the interview.

I definitely agree with the interruptions. Kelly would be in the middle of answering some thing, and Kerry would ask her another question mid answer, and I was hoping not to lose the answer from the first question. Thankfully, I was able to follow. Overall, it was a great interview, but interruptions are distracting.
