I always think of DMX as the Kurt Cobain of rap...very troubled with some serious demons that nobody could understand... In the nicest way possible I was more surprised that it didn't happen sooner because of those demons... when my elder brother (who introduced me to DMX) told me he died I felt deflated because I thought he would pull through and carry on like he always used to... 10mins after receiving the news, I heard my brother's Bluetooth speaker turn on and then.... STOP! DROP! SHUT EM DOWN! OPEN UP SHOP! There's only 2 rappers EVER who have drawn me into their music just from the sheer passion in their delivery...2Pac and DMX. God bless the dead. ❤

You KNOW he had war with addiction,,, "WHY",,, would You,,, Knowing he's having that battle,,, bring him on the show,,, where you do nothing but Smoke WEED,,, and drink Alcohol the Whole Entire Show??? What??? And it never crossed your Mind,,, that it would trigger those cravings???? I Say this,,, because i used to be an addict... It's A No Brainer.... Common Sense... I know that maybe he had the Best of intentions... Iam not Saying he didn't. It just wasn't a good move that's all. The genuine intent is applauded celebrated and appreciated. DMX the real one...R.I.P brother. X had many demons like most of us but he was a true warrior for God. He loved the Lord no question. Nowadays all these rappers are sell outs. Most have souled there souls. The only reason why X was always in the headlines for using drugs or being arrested is because he didn't sell out. If he sold out the powers at be would have protected him from all that. Like they protect all big time artists today.

@@freedom2641 I agree with you, I'm from the dirtiest parts of East London. I grew up dirt poor with heroin dealers and addicts all around us. Would find syringes on the staircase. Even as kids we knew, something was right about that. As we grew up, sadly some of my childhood friends either became dealers and addicts. Many have changed for the better, yet a lot of them haven't learned are still in the streets doing what they've been doing (now cocaine being their go to source of income). With every passing generation, you see kids being groomed to take the mantle from the older guys. I've gotten into serious bust ups with a lot of these guys, having my eyes swollen, broken finger and nose and lips busted. It's not even about being brave, to me it was to try and do the right thing. But I have a small circle of friends, and there was only so much we could do. It's literally fighting a losing battle.
