Scottie is now my favorite golfer on tour after watching what he's doing for those kids. Most professionals would take that opportunity to learn from other greats and not pay it forward. True Dallas gem right here.

Most pro golfers are very humble and grateful. I think it's because no matter how talented, it still takes insane amounts of training and sacrifice and they've probably seen many of their friends fall short. But Scottie is extra grounded. He's had his sister toting the bag.

The absolute key to his brilliance is that unstructured "figuring it out" time away from the mechanical coaching as a kid. Same stuff they talk about in the "In Search of Greatness" documentary about guys like Gretzky, Jerry Rice etc. Randy is a genius for understanding and supporting this - what a great coach and mentor.

I like Scottie, and he has a good game, however I do think his footwork could be a bit better. It cost him the Tour championship. There were a few shots on that final day that you could see him slipping on, more than any other day and it ended up costing him.
