BIM is a Practise/ Process. There are many other softwares involved. We have made another video with Chinmay Gatthoo who demonstrates all the softwares which make up the BIM Ecosystem. I would advice you to take a 2 year Training under a BIM specific firm and then start on with your practise

Is it a sustainable career in civil engineering
@theserialdesigner5 ай бұрын
Civil engineering is a great career choice if your technical knowledge is at its best! You should be CAD proficient and be very thorough with Theory of Structures

I have seen Civil Engineers use Civil3D, Dynamo plugin, 12d, Navisworks, Revizto quite extensively in their day to day lives. These were for Water Systems, dry utilities, rail projects or roading projects. Surely a good idea to get into the BIM aspect of Civil Engineering. Am myself trying to study this a bit more. 🙂👍🏼

Will AI make layoffs/firing of BIM professional
@theserialdesigner5 ай бұрын
According to my judgement- AI will never be able to replace humans, yes it would make the job easier and save time but human’s specially in BIM will not face a lot of consequences with AI boom

Good question, and I’m glad someone has asked this. AI is here to help and support a person in his day to day tasks. There is already automation involved in the BIM world, which can handle some crucial tasks which can be done by the software itself. I have seen AI trying to give input, but there is still a personal touch a human would need to give, to run the project itself.
