The MONO vinyl is part of the vinyl box set, so it's not missing from this edition. What IS missing is a blu-ray with the Dolby Atmos/5.1/Hi Res mixes. Great video Michael. The first time I heard your opening 'more new records' I got a good laugh, 'cause it took me right back to my teen years: sneaking records past my parents and into my room. Later it would be girls...and more new records!

I got the CD Box set & the only thing I don't love about it is the mono mix. I hear slight distortion from that disc. I do love the new stereo mixes a lot. Much better than the 2009 stereo box set. I don't have a working turntable.

Pretty sure you’re the only person on earth who thought there’d be an LP in the CD box set. There’s a completely separate vinyl box set with 4 LPs and an EP. There’s also a 2-CD set, a single new mix CD, a single new mix LP, and a Picture Disc. All of this has been abundantly clear from the publicity. And if I recall correctly, no previous Beatles box sets included vinyl and CD in the same package, but I could be mistaken about that.

Thanks for sharing. You received the Super Deluxe CD set, there is a Super Deluxe 4 LP set (more expensive). They never combine the CDs with the LPs.

Thanks Michael. You’re the FIRST to show us this deluxe box - cheers 🎉. I’m one Beatles fan who’s pissed that there is no BLU-RAY included, unlike all the other 50th Deluxe editions!! So expensive, and without a Blu-ray!! I’m NOT purchasing it, especially at this price, and especially as it doesn’t include a multi surround version. Yes, I know I can purchase the digital Atmos version, however I have NO intention of streaming any music, as I want a HARD copy of my own. Rey disappointed also that McCARTNEY has released Atmos versions of His 3 McCartney albums, again NOT on a Blu-ray 😡. Enjoy your copy, especially as it’s a free, demo copy. 🎶🎸😎

@@mikechivy What I ment, as you misunderstood, is that you can not rely on streaming alone. They often remove or don't have a particular album on their service. And when internet is down or out, you have no music. I am not a CD-fan anymore, but understand that it is a good way of having a backup. What you also misunderstood is that the pricing of these boxsets are ridiculous. Beatles can learn from Pink Floyd boxsets - it is half the price, and more content. And your perfect-resolution comment 😂 No, that is not good enough. I buy physical as long as they create products with love and passion. This Revolver boxset is not made with love and passion in their thoughts. You can clearly see that they only want $$$$ from you.

Michael, first your channel always makes my day way better. At about 2:48 in you mention Kids and I instantly flashed back about 60 years. We kids, since the age of rugrats, and could walk, were relegated to records while my Dad had a Ferrograph Reel to Reel, and received prerecorded tapes through the mail. This was back in the day when transistors were not a serious device, for amplifying Music. We had a baby grand Steinway in the house too, for a constant supply of live Music as a reference. The records of the day, and my own personal collection, from the late 60's to 1982, last album I bought was Zappa's, Shut up 'n play yer guitar, NEVER compared to the notes on the tape. Don't get me wrong, I am addicted to the Music on the records I have, and still own a functioning Revox B 790 TT, and am constantly amazed by the engineering prowess of the manufacturers to devise ingenious, although silly expensive, methods to extract the information almost in a Rube Goldberg way from albums. Why hasn't analog, Reel to Reel tape ever taken off like these stamped out pieces of pvc, with all the myriad of compromises that the medium brings to the table?

You actually answered your own question! "stamped out" versus real time one at a time duplication. Tape can never be a mass market product because it can't be "stamped out". In fact, I have a copy of "Gaite Parisienne" an RCA "New Orthophonic" High fidelity tape (ECS-15) issued in 1958. Price on the box was $14.95 in 1958. In today's dollars that's about $155.00 today! That was very costly back then....honestly turntables and cartridges have become considerably better since the B790.....

I had to return The Kink Kronikles 5 times and still couldn't get a decent pressing. Don't get me started on Tales from Topographic Oceans, yeah, I did drop too much sid in those days, but it happened with a lot of my albums, back in the day. We took what the execs dished out. They even bragged about saving the environment by using recycled vinyl for my Muswell Hillbillies album. You think I can extract a better performance/more information with newer gear on 50 year old records? I only ask cause I'm in the process of building Transcendent Sound's Slider pre amp, with a phono stage and variable gain based on the 6386 compressor tube now manufactured by JJ Electronics, and if there is a chance to vastly improve the performance, it would be worth it to me.

I still get blown away how good many Decca records sounds on brand new MC stylus of today. The problem with your ranting (yes, it is a rant dissing your vinyl quality control issues with usual mass-produced records statements), is that you never had a proper turntable and MC stylus and good RIAA; as I understand from your writing: "Thanks for the reply, as to upgrading my record deck, I haven't given it much thought". That sentence shows your lack of investigation before you start ranting a conversation about vinyl obscurity as being a reductant format before you even try things out, and you communicate this to Michael on this channel, wasting his time? LOL. Why you get many dished records could be many factors (hot weather, freight carrier etc., storage from online provider, etc), but the best way of handling such things is to report it to the one you bought it from and get it sorted out. And what is a decent pressing for you when you don't have proper equipment to test it on? Why you ask these beginner questions? Why not got to a record vinyl store who sells pro turntables (not Target or IKEA), and bring your records, and listen to them on proper equipment? PS: And don't start your "I have experience since the 60's"-comments, trolling from your KZbin account with absolutely no information, created the 16th. February 2022.

Michael, McCartney nor Giles Martin has ever included the vinyl record in any of these CD Box sets....Giles has put out .....Sgt. Pepper/White Album/Abbey Road/and Let It be/remixed..none of them have the vinyl mixed in with the cd's. One has to purchase a SEPARATE vinyl box set which retails for a higher price. Macca does the same with his Archive Box sets that he has been putting out for I believe the last 12 years. They are all top shelf high level productions as fas as I'm concerned. Macca's next should be "London Town" or "Back to the Egg" Also Beatles fans have posted many, many , videos of unboxing all these Beatles newly mixed Box Sets, and all the Macca Archive box sets.

The Beatles box sets are always separate. No vinyl and cd are never together. Also I like the revolver box. To me idk why Apple didnt do them like the Led Zeppelin box sets. Include vinyl and the cd and have the boxes look the same oh well. Very cool though can’t wait to get the vinyl box set👍🏻

Some don't sound too good, however some sound superb, particularly the white album and I think rubber soul is on the whole excellent but in some places not that good. A hard day's night is another great sounding one. However pepper isn't a great sounding one, it's ok and not completely terrible but then again I prefer it to the 2009 digital which is more of N invasive digital. I was just curious what others thought because on the whole I think they are very good and are better than 2009 remastered ones because they have much more in common with the all analogue originals with slight improvement when done properly like on the ones mentioned and others

Wasn't it Dennis Eaton-Hogg (in Spinal Tap)? This set, BTW, is consistent with the other Beatles remixed sets that you ONLY get vinyl in the vinyl box and you ONLY get cd (or cd/dvd) in the CD box. So if you're a fool like this one you buy the box twice. Play the cds at work, rips of same in the car, and play the vinyl at home (or keep it sealed for your grandchildrens' college fund).

Maybe they should have included a vinyl record, since they don’t seem to like consistency between sets. None of the CD box sets have included any vinyl and vice versa. The Revolver not only doesn’t have the BluRay (unlike all the other sets), the white album and abbey Road box sets didn’t include their respective single remixes, (unlike pepper, let it be and revolver) they only have the outtakes. The white album is the only box set without the mono mix on vinyl or CD, just BluRay.

The Adverts for this release have been all over YT. I wouldn't be saying "where is my vinyl record" I would be saying "where is the bluray?" I have pre ordered both sets.

Does this include a 5.1 surround mix? How do you get hold of the 5.1 version..?

I don't think there is one, unfortunately.. A lot of people are pissed there's no 5.1 Blu-ray. It's not my thing, but I get where they're coming from.

@@R3TR0R4V3 when 5.1 is done well it’s always superior to any other format to my ears BUT when it’s done badly it can make you feel quite seasick! …YMMV

Thank you for another great video! Amazon has informed me than the LP box will arrive Oct. 28 and the CD box Nov. 11. No estimate on the single LP version yet. I can hardly wait! Fran Drescher, gorgeous woman, spoke with an accent reminiscent typically of a Jewish New Yorker with a voice only a mother could love. Other New Yorkers, like Jonathan Harris, would have none of that accent, creating his own British-esq accent.
