Have you succeeding to fix the dragging tape issue with the large reel when you press play at 7:55 min ? I have the same behavior and not sure what to look for. Thanks
@almandog3 жыл бұрын
It was the pinch solenoid. It was not engaging correctly. I pulled it apart, cleaned it up properly ensuring that it is bone dry, and no oil or grease on it. I also adjusted the brakes, ensuring that they engaged at the same time. That's what I did to correct the problem. You should also post your questions on www.tapeheads.net. There all the experts will respond to you.

Hi Almondo. Who in the California area would you recommend is very good at working on a Revox b77? I have a high speed half track unit that works well in every area but will not go into record mode. Plays back prerecorded tape fine. Transport works great. I live in Northern Nevada but driving any distance to a qualified repair shop is not a problem for me.

Hi, Almando. I live in Honolulu and have a B77 case that I was going to throw out. Would you like to have it? I have no use for it since I purchased on after-market case for my B77. Let me know.

Thank you. But I don't have any B77 that need a case. Plus, I build my own side panels for B77 and PR99. You can try ebay. Thanks again.
