I love the commercial with Billy the Kid and the " Shocks" from Monroe, and he says " What's a car?"

The [ 3,6,9,10 ] is a Spare that Gives every bowler a Headache!! The best way to convert it is Not Leaving it!!

Such a classy broadcast, as they all were until they tried to "rock it up" in the mid-1990s. One of the best announcing teams in the business, the bowlers dressed well (even Guppy and Schlegel looked good with their loud attire), and the music bumpers were top notch. I can't wait until this style of production returns, as it will I'm sure.

This style will never return. Our culture won’t permit it. America used to have class. No longer.

@@michaelpalermo354 It pains me to agree after a couple of years passed since I wrote this. Maybe it will cycle back after a couple of generations, when we're all long past.

@@johnseal56 It pains me too. This younger generation simply has no clue as to how things used to be and what has been lost.

It's all flashy gimmicks and silly music etc now. Dumbed down for an even dumber modern audience. Commentators suck massively these days.

It was GREAT being in the Tucson area in 1980. Wayne was based there, then, at Golden Pin Lanes. He and Travis (wife) would show up there every so often just because. Good dude. Travis was gorgeous, lol. Good times. Shame he kinda pissed things away. Wayne Webb was definitely destined for greatness.

Wayne Webb is a great talent, but a tragic story. Investing your life in a once great sport only to see the demise of that sport is a heartbreak few can truly understand. While bowlers of this caliber had at one time enjoyed rock star status as the fruits of their labor, they are now little more than parodies. Shame that. Great bowling, Wayne!

mrmedallis he’s talking about the winnings Webb had earned being reinvested into a sport that started to die at his retirement. Basically he lost his investment to the sport he loved.

He also admits he had a gambling problem, which will obviously eat into your life savings. That didn't help.
