It's an interesting and important discussion about the differencies between the Turkish and the struggle of kurdish musicians against assimilation and the verbieten the language has impact on the whole field of music making. It's really great to hear how the kurdish music and the kurdish musicians they work on more volk music and working on them, instead of just concentration on modern, western music. As a kurd from Kurdistan of Iraq, the music among the kurd in Turkey has a big impact on saving the soul and spirit of the kurdish people. The creativity of the musicians there is obvious what a high quality has. Of course the modernisation of the kurdish music takes place among the kurd everywhere, although meanwhile they work so much on volk music, but that made the process of modernisation of the music much easier and the meanwhile the volk and modern kurdish music became richer and deeper. I believe this comes from the authentithy of the musicians and thier seriousness for thier works.

The truth is that most of people who calls themselves Turks are not Turks.After Empire collapsed most of Muslims immigrated to Anatolia (Turkey).They don’t have a shared culture or music.Kurds are not like that.Kurds has shared culture ,folklore and music.So Kurdish culture and music is very rich
