I find it so interesting the Robyn and Kody constantly have to tell us that they gave money to Christine so she could buy her house…. The never mention they also gave Robyn to buy her house (I would guess they gave Robyn a lot more money then they gave Christine) and they always forget to mention that when Christine sold her Las Vegas home she paid back that money. I suppose they’re just being creative with the truth.

Where did Robyn's money originally come from? Since she entered into the family tens of thousands of dollars in debt.

Agree, "they" gave Christine $ to buy the Flagstaff home -- no wonder Kody was wanting the money back when Christine sold that house. Meanwhile the $ K&R got to buy a million dollar gets no mention ---- R&K are really ridiculous ---greedy --- bend the truth to their advantage

The fair way to divide money is simply take the amount coming in, (ex. $20,000 a month) and divide it by the number of people, ( 21 at the time.) Approx $952 per person. Meri gets $ 1904 and Christine and Janelle get $6664, Robyn $3808.

Mykelti was recently doing a Q and A. She was asked about when she lived with Robyn. She said that when Robyn moved by them in Lehi her brother, that was living with her to help with her kids, could not move. So Mykelti decided to move in with Robyn because Mykelti was having a lot of problems with stuff going on and it was better to get out the house. She said it was not her Mom that was causing her problems. I thought that it could have been a Meri thing 🙄

From what I saw at the end of season 17, the spiritual wives had to take care of themselves, their own kids, pay for their own homes and pay their own bill! @@brea5416 Is the "United order" associated with Polygamy? Sure the Browns do not tithe to a church any more. Kody should have a good financial cushion built-up but seems they are seeking monies esp with 3 of the wives done with K&R. Wonder if we will see K&R have to downsize the house & what about money he owes for the land. Unless you're the Browns have and have 15 kids but they have 4 wives so we know its crap. I wonder if Janelle enjoyed her birthday since she really wants/likes camping and trailers etc. My father used to say "if you want Angela there on time tell her to be there an hour before" lmao I believe at this point kody is still into the OG wives. I think the issue is that Meri had money for o spend on piano lessons and other extras while the other wives couldn’t afford necessities like braces for their kids. While some budget items might be independent of the number of kids the wife has, eg. vehicle expenses and heating bills, others are dependent on the number of kids, like food, clothing, etc.

Pampers were 1st coming out & they were used for when we traveled as it was a luxury expense. This was back in the mid-60's Fast forward to more present days (2013) my son-in-law changed diapers all the time. Wow two sets of twins - 12 total what women do -- amazing!!

As a sociological observation, Watching the Browns over all 17 seasons has been interesting if at times sad & anger producing experience. Watching the walls that the Browns put up to hide behind a less than perfect polygamy family is fascinating. Besides the money, do any of them regret doing this on TV? Each season is filmed & shown long after we learn the current day goings on. Christine has a boyfriend but she has been divorced from Kody since 2021(?) The whole Covid restriction rules was ridiculous -- I mean really. Did the Browns not get vaccinated? Who knows --- they seem to reject professional medical care maybe because they lack insurance. With the Affordable Care Act, they are required to have some insurance. Maybe they should have bought less stuff & given their kids health insurance. The Browns -- all of the adults--- are nonsensical at times, K&R IMO want money & Robyn has NEVER worked outside the home. How is the wife who brought 3 kids to the marriage, was divorced & debt-ridden never held a job outside of the home?? She has a nanny -- frankly, it would do her good to have a job & get away from constant supervision of her kids.

What's even crazier to me is that Janelle paid for that trailer herself. Without Kody or the other adults. So she might have little, but she did it all herself. I think the idea that Meri has smaller bills is because she made less money than the Janelle and Kody. So her income is probably decent for 1 kid, but sounds like it's still low.

Janelle and Christine said the kids often have to wait for them to save to get what they want. Meri said Mariah, at the time it was Mariah, never had to. She just gets what she wants pretty much. I am sure isolated Mariah even more from other kids. Janelle’s kids could walk into Christine’s kitchen and get from the fridge. Probably Meri’s as well. They were all theirs so no asking like a guest. Robyn’s house no. I remember Mariah was down at Christine’s eating fish tacos while Meri was making a single salmon filet herself and laughing at the idea of fish tacos. I doubt Meri had all the kids over for fish.. Not a monster. But with 12 kids not all if them are going rub each other the same way. Some would have had more contact with her than others based in age.

@@Creative2xmom When Sister Wives began Meri had a job & said when their show went on air, she was fired from that job because they went public being polygamists. Was she really fired or was that part of their script?? With all we know re the Brown marital partners, IMO they have not told us the truth all the time - common for ANY reality show, but the Browns were fine with pretending they were all happy & blessed to be practicing polygamy. You mentioned Meri made little money in the episode referenced - but the Browns were known to use govt benefits to get by & had multiple bankruptcies among the adults. So Meri was probably OK & they were all living together in one home in Lehi before R came on the scene. The Browns were making good money from the show.

Yes, but in the Brown story they have 18 total kids (3 adopted by Kody of Robyn's kids from her 1st marriage) That takes money --- the show helped pay for living expenses & the Browns got some travel/weddings etc. If Kody had not spent $ on too much stuff, they should be OK financially at this point. For example, WHY buy the Coyote Pass land??? They did not need to do that & it seems they will loose the property for non-payment or taxes not paid -- who knows.

@@kristinesharp6286 The Brown polygamy family had 18 kids & 5 adults - true-- many of the kids are grown, married or married with kids of their own. So as the kids became adults, Kody had more money to accumulate. Kody has said that they cannot build on Coyote pass until they pay -- not sure if he means property taxes or loans to be able to build homes on the land. Kody is vague on that. Janelle wanted to put up a modest home on the Pass & Kody said NO> So maybe he knows the land will be sold for him & R to profit.(?) There is no infrastructure on the property----no water -- no sewer -- no electric. Does Kody have monies to pay for all of that as well as multiple houses? It is a shame the Brown kids did not receive money to further there education. Janelle's son was hoping for a wrestling scholarship but Kody forced everyone to move to Flagstaff & he lost that opportunity---So yeah the kids were like Kody's religious property --- do they even have any religious beliefs now ---??

@@g.flesch9731 this is a recap of season 2. I was talking the family dynamic at that time. 3 boys went military related to get school paid. Three girls its a mystery. I mean two were sharing and apartment when they left for school but then married young. Ysabel is doing community college. Mariah did overpriced awful private university in Utah. Logan got a new car. The rest a reliable car. Robyns kids a mystery but even aurora is home, per the COVID so must be going nearby. Gabe seemed to local for school as well while working. He bought 4 lots in a subdivision. The one house idea was for the show. There is no way in H they are going to turn 4 lots into 5 in a subdivision. He has spewing that if he fully paid for the 4 lots he can redraw the lines and put a 5th house there. Again not going to happen. It would have been 5 lots in the first place if possible. Word is Robyn and his parcel is paid for. The rest not. All the family money goes to the family he picks. He paid Christine $10 to quit the deed on the lot so they can sell it or improve it and she not be consulted or given proceeds. Fortunately he took his name off Christine’s to have enough credit to be on Robyns. Her house is twice as valued as Christine’s. So Christine could take the 200K proceeds and leave. No where near 20% of the assets and money of the Brown family. But enough to make a start. Janelle maybe put 100K or got a loan for 100K rv. Kody thinks he is entitled to 50% of all 5 adults assets and cash. Lock him up. He pisses away money. He really only has to worry about Ari and Sol. The girls will be married off. Student loans galore. Girls seemed to marry before finishing college so their own self responsible for a lot of it.

@@kristinesharp6286 Agree totally that Kody pisses away money. I thought Logan did graduate college. The Brown sisters - except for Mariah - either start college or drop out - some to get married young or just do not do college. Kody's ideas of how he can parcel out Coyote Pass is his dim-mind working. True, there are restrictions when you buy land for what you can build on it & how it can be divided. Kody makes up his own special rules that are a no-go. If the land is for use for home/s there are specifications for land use determined by each town. Kody cannot make up his own rules. Houses have building codes as well. Kody has made poor life decisions whether plural marriage (he did not grow up in polygamy) or money

They are for me, too. And they keep getting cuter and cuter the more I see them interact and tell stories about their lives.

Merri is definitely a interesting character. I do think she is a good person. But she seems to have Zero to minimal accountability. She wanted a big family But she definitely has done selfish tendencies. She has a temper and is a crazy perfectionist But my guess is she was raised that way. Kody treated her wrong for sure.

There is way way too many commercials in this video. That's gonna be a problem. People aren't gonna want to necessarily stick around to watch if there's that many commercials. I just thought somebody should let you know.

if i was the 'accountant' in that family each wife would get a base budget and then a certain allowance for each child living at home. although it would still probably be unfair because all the kids would hang out at christine's and eat all her food.
