Slick move playing some Dickey Betts for the 58’ demo. Yeah I hear a hollowness in the mid content on the budge p/u, very cool, gives it a vowel-y “ahhh” singing quality.

I couldn’t resist some Blue Sky. That’s exactly what I hear in this set, PS- thanks for listening!

Nine demo. I'm listening to a lot of your pickup demos today in my ongoing pickup quest. These definitely sound as though they have a midrange scoop compared to the others you've demoed which probably accounts for that metallic chirp. They'd be great in the right guitar like the LP you're using to demo them. They nail the Billy Squire tone. In your LP Custom, they might sound harsh though.

It’s funny you say that- I kinda heard the chirp as being in the low-mids. They’re definitely not the brightest set I’ve played, but if you have a bright sounding body, they really shine

I used to have these. Sad I got rid of them because they didn’t fit the guitar they were in. James’ prices have gone up a butt load since I had them.

The tone right about 2:20.....what do you set the volume and tone at for that? I think this might be my favorite bridge pickup. I heard another guy demo this set and I loved the bridge pickup on his demo too. I'm unsure on the neck pickup...I like a very clear maybe a little bright neck pickup. Definition and roundness but not too bassy or woofy. Clarity is #1

2:20 has the volume and tone max’d. Rewinds in general are a tad less bright than some other makers (Throbak’s too, for that matted). I could see the neck being too woolly for some, depending on your rig. Thanks for listening!

Sorry, I misspoke- 2:20 has the volume at 8.5, tone at 7. But it depends on your pot taper
