R.I.P Wim, a quiet man who came in and did a job when the pressure was immense. He never needed apat on the back for what he achieved, which is the sign of a great man. Me and millions of Celtic fans will never forget what he did for us. Thank you Wim and rest easy. Legend.

@JIMMY CROWLEY I'll tell you. Despite growing up in Glasgow and coming from a predominantly Catholic family (although I was never brought up religious apart from the odd trip to the chapel with my granny) I never followed football as a young boy. Could be growing up without a da I dunno. I'd seen some games but never saw the appeal until one day in my mid teens I happened to see a Chelsea game. This would've been the 96-97 season. Look the team up, they had some cracking players. The one that stood out to me though was Gianfranco Zola. Being a short cunt myself, seeing Zola play really struck a chord with me and I made a point to watch as much Chelsea games as I could from then. It wasn't until 2002 when I moved in with my pal who was Celtic daft that I started watching Scottish football. He'd watch every game and cause he had the weed I'd watch them too. He'd talk me through the players and the history and his passion for Celtic was infectious. He took me to my first ever game on 10/05/2003, Celtic v Hearts. Not the best game ever (1-0 Thomo penalty) but the atmosphere was something I'd never experienced before.

A lot of Irish in London supported Chelsea in the early 1970s. I knew a few. It’s a different story now, though. The moniker ‘London Huns’ is fair comment.
