Visakh Asok Do you understand the concept of a GRAND PRIX? You can have pace early and nothing late, you can have nothing early but great race pace. Was Rins 8-10th end of first lap? He got away early, but his gap wasn’t growing, and started to come back.. this is pressure. You don’t need a rider breathing on you for there to be pressure. The pressure of knowing his bike wasn’t going to have the pace for a whole race made him push past his limits to try maintain the gap.. in doing this he crashed. If you have ever competed, this shit will make sense to you.. if you haven’t, then I guess the current fastest man alive just made a simple unforced error on a track he’s won on the prior 6 times 🤦🏻‍♂️

I can even give you a pro-Marquez spin on it.. Honda had good one lap pace, but in their GP set up, the front was nervous. Only 1 Honda finished, the rest had front end washes in bumpy braking zones. Marc crashed under pressure, if it makes you feel better, it wasn’t necessarily Rossi’s pressure, although he was leading that charge.. it was the pressure of knowing he wasn’t gapping the pack, the race was young.. so he pushed to maintain it, but he was pushing beyond the pace he could run.

Pitiable are those who fanboy marquez over rossi. On one hand you have a delightful man enjoying the process, have his own share of championships being all cheery and riding responsibly and then is marquez who just wants to win at all cost endangering other riders' lives in the process. If only Rins could manage to stay on his bike I believe he is Championship material. I am a fan of how smooth & rhythmic Rins riding style is, despite not being the size of a Horse Jockey. Because of the fact Rins & Rossi are similar in physical build I would have been excited to see Rossi"s VR46 team on Suzuki's in 2022 with both himself and his brother as teammates..I think because of the fact that Suzuki has been working with Rins for a few years now and managed to consistently push out a top 5 bike Rossi would still be in the hunt.. Rossi & Rins are similar in physical build so I'd expect that the rear tire issues Rossi has been struggling with on the M1 may be far less significant.. Guess we will never know lol
