Meadowvale was where my Best Friend Dave Redditt lived from time he was born in 1985. This reminds me of him and makes me smile at all the times we had. He passed away from Colon Cancer last year in 2020 and I miss him so much. I know he would like this video. This is for you Dave❤🙏

Pete’s place was the best. He was so nice. This just brought me back to being a kid going to the arcade at the mall and getting poutine at his restaurant. Good old days

Sorry for the delay, I missed the notification for this comment. It's "Beth", by Vyen, one of the artists commissioned by Google to create original, free-licensed music for KZbin Audio Library. It can be downloaded for free here: kzbin.info (I think the link should work, hopefully?) I believe this is the same Vyen: kzbin.infovideos

Meadowvale in the early 80's was a incredible place to live for a kid They had the LAFF festival a huge 2 story mall with an arcade a food court to hang out till the ex cop come along and told you to go for a walk Even Lake Aquitaine had hundreds of bushes and flowers all around the lake On one end Wedding pictures were always taken..Apple blossom fake cherry blossoms that smelled awesome You had Teen dances A hut that rented paddle boats and ice creams And a band stand that is now a water spash thing ....And hrs of BMX riding trails ..Use to ride to Streetsville plaza Remy's BMX for cool parts ...Late night pool hopping out of 5 pools in the complexes Playing in the tunnels under lake aquitaine where that cage is ...Even use to swim in the lake ..When i left a Kid was murdered at a hotel party from one guy And the others helped him throw the body in the bushes outside...Super safe my ass I picked corn from the field and threw it on Winston Chruchill to hear cars run over it ...Farm land ! There was no real 10th line ..it was a dead end ...Thats how new lol

@@ALuimes That's correct, Meadowvale West. There was originally supposed to be two mixed use subdivisions, Meadowvale North and Meadowvale West, but North ended up becoming an industrial area. We've uploaded the original plan document: archive.org/details/meadowvale-a-new-urban-lifestyle/page/n15/mode/2up As things started opening without "West" in their name (Meadowvale Theatre, Meadowvale Town Centre), the renaming of the village was likely a defensive mechanism by residents. It also helps underline the fact that they're the first Heritage Conservation District in Ontario, an underline to the intentional separation of the community by rerouting arterial roads past them.
