it’s not about being a vet. it’s called seeding. if you perform well at events, you’re rewarded a high seed and you fight people with a lower seed and eventually you run into higher tier players as you go through the bracket. that prevents matches like sonic vs ninja from happening in round 1 as that’s a better fitting match down the line for more on the line. ninja was seeded very low in this event despite his name and results which is why we fought so early.

The way brackets work is that if you’ve done amazing in previous events, you’re not going to play someone of NinjaKillas caliber early. That’s a match for top 8. Not top 48. That’s why seeding in tournaments exist so you don’t have Sonic vs NinjaKilla in pools. He was just incorrectly seeded is all and I didn’t decide to appeal.
