REWORKED CRAB KING VS ALL CHARACTERS!!! (No Cheese) - Don't Starve Together | BETA

I chose not to bring strategies with "Waves Cheese", but for some characters like Webber and Wurt it is not possible, because the mobs prevent the waves, I did not bring strategies for Wx, Woodie and Walter because their skills are not advantageous in this fight and not being original, practically being a Wilson with a different skin in this respective boss. However, if you want to kill the moose Crab King you can attach the boat and kill it by doing the "Waves Cheese".
As we are in Beta this could probably change, as well as some strategies could remain the same, I knew I could make this video quickly so I chose to do it even though Crabking was not fixed due to the small bugs it is having. I wanted to post the video yesterday, but for real life reasons I couldn't do it.

I opted for the pan flute because of the bramble husk that would wake them up, I would have the option to move away, but it would waste a lot of time and the crab king would regenerate a considerable amount, sometimes the minions only notice you at the end when the ice breaks then they would still invade your boat, pan flute is superior in this fight

The waves hit the merms instead of the boat for some reason i think it's a glitch/bug

Yes, but you would have to tank or dodge, which would make you lose efficiency in this ice phase, which is the phase in which you can do the most damage to Ck, in addition to needing to set fire, freeze or use weather pain on Ck if you want it to he doesn't heal

technically you can get pan flutes from gifts when sleeping under winters feast trees but it's only a 7% chance and you can only try once every 4 days, not to mention you need the event turned on

I wonder if you can make a sail + anchor to move towards CK so it always goes in his direction. That way maybe Woodie could use his transformation. Probably bad either way just like malbatross.

I haven't tested it, but if you want to do it this way I believe the best option would be in the style of the video posted in the comments, but it might work, you just have to see how much speed is needed to stay close to Crab King and hope that no wave comes that changes the direction of your boat

no, you can attack normally, set it on fire, freeze it, use weather pain, any damage is currently canceling your healing

exists, your boat will be destroyed in the fight depending on the character you use (due to the damage), so it is cheaper to use grass boat

@@ameslarii did you know that you can kill crab King as moose? When ice start breaking you can jump on your boat and untransform, then row to crab King and transform again. I killed crab King as woodie and you can try it too (it is hard to do it with Pearl but you can try)

Willow's hotheaded skill allows bernie to go active when either aligned enemy is near, ck is lunar aligned so he was activated

they should give im back his geyser attack but this time its a wave that goes outwards during his ice summoning, ofc this would only happen if the summoning was taking too long. I think this would prevent such massive cheese as anchoring your boat right next to him with a crap ton of friendly mobs.

I agree. They wanted there to be more dodging with the boat but here its just back and forth as ck pushes you away. Geyser is designed with dodging the boat in mind, same with freeze attack (the perma freeze is dumb, and if they did freeze into geyser thats extra dumb so maybe they shouldnt readd that)

In terms of standard damage, yes, but shadow flames don't work as well as lunar flames in this fight due to the high number of minions, and the flames can be used when the waves are pushing you away as well as when you are approaching the phase after the ice to kill claws. However, you can use shadow flames if you destroy the towers with it and then resist the waves, so your shadow flames will only target the Crab King

I feel they could make the little crabs more impactful, rn they can just be put to sleep and by the time they wake the island of ice wouldve just broken and they'd die (i know minion spam is bad design, and worse if he heals after he spams them but panflute being so strong makes them so pathetic)

@@minegagadoli problem is when it comes to waves of herd mobs, they wake up in a set amount of time after you hit one of them, like dogs, spiders, bq (i dont hate that she wakes up grumble bees, i hate how fast she spams them and making it miserable to fight), while some other fights with minions like afw is more of a 'kill them or he heals', or df with her larvaes being extremely high health and sets you on fire on touching. No other boss can rlly have their minions completely disabled, and i think its fine to make them wake up if their health and numbers arent as high

The minion spam is because he's loaded with purple gems. I think the intention is for you to mix and match gems so none of his abilities or summons get too strong.

Watching this video has perplexed me. Why do most of them use ham bats but Maxwell uses a dark sword and dreadstone equipment, probably for shadow tiers but it's not like he has to have that stuff to use duelists. you could give all of them dark swords. Why does Wigfrid get an enlightened crown (a post Crab King requirement) but Wormwood doesn't get access to his Brambleshade armor or Lunar Guardian perks here? Obvs not all characters are built equally but this is just strange

Because after wilson it's already proven to be visble with any character the rest is like exploring character unique ways to kill crab king enlightened crown gives wigfrid her highest dps, wormwood bramble shade isn't gonna do anything to a stationary boss etc etc

@@starboypluto except it does though.... the brambleshade deals an additional 5 planar damage. On top of that they're also not utilizing Lunar Guardian II with the brightshade vines. If you were doing it for highest possible DPS for every character wouldn't you utilize that.

In reality chars holding dark swords can get insane and the output damage doesn't make a difference in fights like this cuz u don't need to fit in burst damage even that being welcome. Hambat is Solid and safe . For Max it has a change cuz he's buffing all the duelists damage wearing shadow gear including weapon. Thats the basics. Even tho Wigfrid feels weird being already lunar set in a fight that u still in the path to get that gear if Wilson hambat can do the fight he proved the point and from now on showcasing Wig full potential does more for the vid. If u put effort to understand instead of criticizing u can see that easily.
