Honestly this creates purple gems being an option for a few limited character, which is cool. Willow with Bernie starts and Wormwood's spore clouds still lock down the minions without need of panflute 😊

One issue I have with this video is that the text appears and disappears so fast I have to pause to read it. I don't think I'm a slow reader but I can barely read 5-6 words from the 10-14 word texts you put on screen for 2 seconds

I think the ice arena killing anything when it breaks was due to this bug where bunnymen would drown then reappear as soon as he spawned the next arena.

I just don't understand why it's so unevident for Klei to make a new drop items from crab king depending on the used gems: more difficult the gem assembly = cooler item, easy assembly = strident trident. This would immediately motivate players to use other gem builds

​@@Hexagrontley the point is that now you can use flute, but you'll have to deal with the cons of other pearl combinations, not just ignore them. Intrinsic fute resistance mobs wouldn't make sense, it would just limit the strats.

I would’ve really wanted to see more out of this though. Imagine the biome we could’ve gotten. What i mean is, we don’t see what crab king is actually the king of. We kinda see more of it now, but not as much. As it stands now, he’s like ancient guardian if he just spawned somewhere in the caves and all parts of the ruins didn’t exist aside from the atrium.

Thing is... He did kinda just spawn somewhere with no relation to anything. He was a normal, fairly harmless crab before, but then he found the Celestial Tribute that fell from the moon, and it infected him with Enlightened madness, which drove him to craft a giant stone shell to protect it, which is what the castle on his back is. The "King" in his name is just a nickname due to his crown/castle decoration. He's actually Pearl the Crab Hermit's friend/husband, and she has been setting out messages in a bottle to find him, but he's out here doing his best gollum impression, protecting his 𝓟𝓻𝓮𝓬𝓲𝓸𝓾𝓼𝓼𝓼 Lunar Tribute.

@@WitnessesSay We know for sure that she's Pearl's friend whom she's setting out bottles for, which is why we need to give him the Pearl, and why it's so significent to Pearl to get the cracked pearl back. We also know for sure that he disappeared shortly after the Lunar Archipelago fell from the moon. But I admot, the rest is conjecture, based on the fact that hehas the Celestial Tribute, and the Lunar Archipelago, and associated artefacts, cause Enlightenment, meaning it would make sense for him to have gone mad trying to keep it for himself. And him keeping it in the castle/crown also makes sense for why he would construct the stone castle on his back, since in his death animation shows that he's actually just a small-ish crab, similar to his minions.

Ameslarii, I would LOVE if you checked out the buffed Skeeter Bomb, since mosquitoes don’t aggro you or your Merms anymore do they actually become useful? I want to believe that absolutely bombarding a boss with mosquitoes from a range alongside your warriors would be kinda good, right?

But I thought most DST bosses have AOE attacks. This is more like a way to farm mosquito sacks so you can stack wetness for armor.

@@tenientemiller5123 they updated crabking again and now with 8 orange gems it is impossible to cancel its healing, you can still cancel it with 4 orange gems, but you need to cancel the animation, it is better to think of other gems such as 4 orange and 4 purple, 8 red, yellow or green, or a mixture of all

Yeah, I figured as much that they'll just get sick of people using only most accessable gem for the fight so we'd end up forced to go for one of ruin gems eventually. Good thing orange gem is least useful early game anyway so they can be used for lazy deserters and canes down the road yet now killing CK is more about getting enough of these from ruins and dfly because the rest of the gems are just a sheer pita

Yeah, getting orange gems is a bit boring compared to how easy it was to get purple gems, I believe the best thing would be a little mix between the gems, basically using as many oranges as possible and the others as a cover.

kinda dont like that he just throws the crabs out all at once with them just not aggroing at all, wish it was like df spawning larvae, 1 at a time, at slower speeds (dont like when she spawns multiple on 1 pond thats a rlly bad (lack of preventative) mechanic cuz just makes fighting her without walls dumb)

I don't know anything about the blue gem giving them sleep resistance, just that Crab Knight, which is the biggest, usually needs two uses to sleep. Actually the aggro in this fight is boring, it seems like it focuses on everything except the crab king, I recommend always hitting away from the minions and also when breaking the ice barrier use the mouse to make the character hit the crab king

If you know how to cancel animation you can still use 4 oranges and the rest of your choice, as you can also use 8 yellow, 8 red with 3 wooden boats, 8 green, 1 gem of each, 8 purple gems if you use the dragonfly armor or other character like Maxwell, Willow, Wigfrid. There are many varieties, even though it is boring, sometimes no gem makes the fight impossible.

Видимо по нормальному все-таки придется миксовать разные гемы, в одном из недавних англоязычных видео наблюдал 1 желтый/1 синий/ 1 красный / 1 оранжевый / 1 фиолетовый / жемчужина и 3 зеленых.
