Dude, my eyes would always glaze over in the original when Deidara came on screen. Always felt like he was underdeveloped despite some really cool concepts going on in his design/abilities. Kurotsuchi was also super underutilized in the original. Seeing you manage to pull together a backstory incorporating both of them and it being so fun to watch is a true testament to your abilities as a writer.

I really hope that you will keep deidara alive in some way after his fight with sasuke. Guess that you wouldnt give him so much attention if it was for nothing. We have a lot of plot points surrounding him and there will be a lot of place for development. Keep up this great work of yours!

Glazing session incoming: Deidara being a “Yokai-juriki” and a prodigy in general was a great idea!! He never caught my attention in the original due to a short backstory and a lack of explanation for his powers and why they were so powerful. I’m also just interested in the Yokai in general! I hope we see more of them! I’m invested in Deidara after hearing the first two parts of his backstory! I saw him as a dick that had no care for anyone else in the OG (in a selfish clueless way), but I’m seeing signs of psychopathy in Deidara (I swear Deidara “couldn’t relate to the emotions of others” like 3 times so far) TLDR: I like your Deidara a lot
