It's important to remember that in S1, Rex's primary problem with Invincible was that he was getting a lot of attention, and that Rex felt Invincible got his postion by nepotism due to his inexperience. Rex has been earning his way up since his childhood experimentation and spent every waking day trying to become a Guardian. Then, the finale of S1 happens. Rex, along with the world, watches Invincible get absolutely torn to shreds by his own father, choosing Earth over blood. And somehow, he saves everyone. In that sad, bleak moment, every gripe Rex had over Invincible was gone. The attention he was getting? Dude just put everything on the line for save the planet. That's earned. And any feelings of nepotism; well, we just saw what Invincible's own father was willing to do to him. Clearly he didn't pull any favors. And Invincible definitely has had enough experiences to say he's not truly green anymore. Where Rex previous saw a gloryhound, teammate, and rival, now the gloryhound and rivalry are gone. What's left? His teammate, who just suffered through one of the most horrific events imaginable. Compound that with the recent maiming and death of his teammates, suddenly Rex has to have a real come to Jesus moment about the fragility of life and the costs of their job. No wonder he feels like he needs to look after Mark

@@mastergod101 it makes perfect sense. Google dickrides big money like their lives depend on it, but they still have to obey local censorship laws or they get in trouble for that. So they take money from Amazon to let them avoid the age restrictions so the show can reach practically everyone, bump its position in the algorithm, and as part of the deal Amazon makes a version of the video that complies with FCC regulations. Which are notoriously lax on violence and blood, not so much on "the bad words".
