here's a funny one for you florio, Rex when he first came to the jets still had Brett Farve as his QB but only for a few days, His first pivot move was to try and trade the Ravens for backup QB Tyrod Taylor. all these years later you have him possibly walking in and losing a hall of fame QB as he walks in the door but have the option to get Tyrod who is only on a 1 year deal currently.

Rex was 46-50 as Jets HC, 3-9 against Brady. Problem is, I don’t think any decent candidates want the job. Maybe Rex could get them back close to .500? You know, get the stink off the jet, then lure in a winning coach and GM. But I seriously doubt he’s capable of anything more. He talks tough, uses blow-it-up analogies, insists you trust him, real fake-macho stuff. Why would I trust him when he already showed he ain’t got it? Blowing a lot of hot air doesn’t equate to wins in the NFL. I see it every year. Proven players sign big contracts, and then produce Jack Squat. Better to draft good players, develop them, and let them walk when they want big dough. Just keep developing young talent, and let your competitors pay big dough for Jack Squat. Vance Joseph would be perfect. Dude is solid, earns player’s respect, they play for him because they respect him, not because, like Rex, he wants to be feared.
