There is a completed season of an Alien vs Predator anime that has been kept under wraps since Disney bought Fox. I actually had Swamp Thing action figure as a kid, along with villains, think it was the bat guy. When I was young here in Liverpool, UK they had a whole Cosgrove Hall museum and visiting the Count Duckula section was one of my favourite things to do. I didn’t care about Wind in the Willows or Danger Mouse that much, but Duckula was my jam. Drak Pack was my favorite cartoon when I was 7. You did omit a couple of old Ruby Spears favorites of mine from the '70s: Fangface and Dingbat and the Creeps. Fangface was like Scooby Doo if Shaggy and Scooby were the same person, and Dingbat and the Creeps was part of the Heathcliff and Dingbat Hour. Fangface was also part of the Plastic Man Comedy Show. Oh, I didn't see Mummys Alive, Tutenstein, or Darkstalkers mentioned, either. I think Inhumanoids should count too as horror adjacent at the very least. And Monster High! Children of monsters going to high school together! They had loads of animated webisodes that made it to Netflix, not to mention a whole bunch of movies. And there's the reboot G3 show that was on Nickelodeon. You might have to do a part 2 for this. 😅

I'm just old enough to dimly remember seeing "Drak Pack," and for years I thought I had a very distorted memory of what "The Groovie Goolies" show was like. Thank you for finally clarifying that I hadn't totally made it up in my head. Incidentally, I actually thought "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" were the same show for a few years. I know that sounds far-fetched if you're familiar with either or both series, but I was in college and only went to movies; I wasn't watching much tv for several years around that time, and all I knew of either was they were an eponymous blonde who dealt with the supernatural. It didn't click that they were different series until I was in a Suncoast (remember those?) and saw a rack of calendars with one for Buffy next to Sabrina's calendar. Ironically, they later reinvented "Sabrina" as seemingly an update of "Buffy" in a way. (Or at least that's how it looks. I've never watched that version either.)

"Little Shop" can at least boast the distinction of being the only cartoon based on a movie based on a musical based on a movie. At least that I've heard of. The "Mr and Mrs Smith" TV show might beat it, provided you accept that a remake of a movie that ripped off "True Lies", which was a remake of "Le Totale", which was inspired by James Bond, applies.

I for sure watched the original King Kong cartoon and Godzilla with godzookie. Also the drac pack and groovy ghoulies. Probably a few others but those were the stand out shows for me

You didn't mention Darkstalkers. There was a one season mXe in America season. And also the only related by source material two part ova Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge. And the four part Unzimaki (sp) series which used the art style of the source material (the manga by Junji Ito), but was shown on the Toonami block on cartoon network and there was a live action Japanese movie, so... And only slightly related is the two Junji Ito series, both shown on Netflix. What actually ties this anime to your topic is the episodes relating to Tomia, a strangely beautiful teenage girl who has the powers of mind control and can reproduce like a freaking starfish.. Of course the Junji Ito stuff wasn't made for kids so they might be excluded from the list anyways.

First off, it was 1984 for GHOSTBUSTERS, and second, the female lead in "Toxic Crusaders" was Yvonne. Which reminds me; ever notice how whoever Kath Soucie spoke for, except perhaps for Minx in "Jem" and Fifi in the early 90s show, "Tiny Toon Adventures". she delivers a kind of giggle that's gives her away? "Yup", I'd say, "That's Kath Soucie".

Not exactly horror, but Thundar The Barbarian. An ultra violent (for 1980) post apocalyptic landscape.

Not having cable growing up I remember watching things like Groovy Goolies in reruns. And I vaguely remember Drac Pack. I was always rooting for Dracula.

Oh wow John Kashir (sp?) even voiced the Cryptkeeper on the cartoon? That’s pretty dope.

Toxic crusaders was awesome and the toys were made by the same company that made the tmnt toys so you could include them in your own turtles playtime lol
