After trying MHP3RD on the PPSPP and seeing this. It gives me so much joy to see something so perfect in every way possible. Look at those reads, look at that damage, look at that strategic planning on where to charge the attack. It's phenomenal, and you did it with a Greatsword! I wish I could perform something like this in the future, but for now. I'm left to gaze upon such marvelous run

the pattern on every in run is almost identical, you might notice this if you hunt ludroth (iirc its the HR quest the one in the island map) or rathalos *5 village quest at the island on ludroth quest arzuros will show up at area 5, 2-4 min after arzuros arrived, ludroth will goes to area 2 to waterfall on rathalos quest, i just clear the 3 jaggis b4 he arrived, wait at the right side of the map and preparing my flash bomb

I know this old as hell but I've been playing and grinding zinogre in 3rd using LS, couple of tips for patterns would be Get an armor with evade plus 2 lagombi or vivoldon or with guard up I use ligombi Zinogre has 2 phase charged and normal, in charge his movements are faster and stomps 3 times, he need to charge about 2-3 times to get to complete Charge form, the initial charge should be pretty easy to interrupt if you damage his head and chest but you could also use a flash bomb to interrupt him, aim for the head sides and tails to get breakable parts and do more damage, max out stamina and roll to avoid the stomps, you can roll towards him or to his side after he finished stomping to get a window of attack, in general don't overcomit on attacks so he doesn't retaliate back, roll quickly once you see him jump up to avoid the tail smack and roll to the sides when he throws out lightning bolts, if he's charging and you can't stop em stay back because of the thunderbolt he'll summon, also use null berries if hit by shock to neutralize the electric weakness

Others say that tiggy gs Isn't good because of it's Negative Affinity but they didn't know it's Damage is High and You can just put weakness Exploit for crit attacks Nice Hunt dude, I love this

It's actually true that the Tigrex GS is worse than the Alatreon Revolution, but I didn't know it at the time. It's true that it has higher raw damage, but the -15% affinity does hurt because you want Punishing Draw on the set, which you can't have with Weakness Exploit. Also, with only 10 hits of white sharpness, Tigrex GS has to sharpen instead of pitfall trap (unless you get lucky with Speed Sharpening like I did), which will lose you more damage. The lack of range on the Tigrex GS also isn't great, which also lends it to having a smaller sweetspot in the middle of the weapon compared to the Alatreon GS. Overall, the Alatreon GS is a better choice and I'll use it if I ever come back to this.

Using a shock trap on the Zinogre is very intentional. A supercharged Zinogre actually takes more damage and stun than normal, so getting it into that state faster is important.

Critical Draw makes unsheathed Charge Slash a bit stronger than Strong Charge Slash. Also, when using the pitfall trap, I need to build up the next stun with Punishing Draw, which also requires I use unsheathed Charge Slash.

Adrenaline +2 is an armor skill that gives you a 30% attack boost when below 40% HP. There's also the Felyne Heroics drink skill that gives you a 35% attack boost when below 10 HP, though it doesn't stack with Adrenaline. Felyne Heroics is the better of the two because it lets you have an extra armor skill. I'm hoping to come back to this hunt at some point to improve it using Heroics.
