I forgot to mention mine also likes the h&n excite econ 2 pellets, good out to 40yds and on amazon for a little over £20 for 2000, so great for plinking with the kids

Got one in 177 love it accuracy is crazy at 40 yards pellet on pellet with H&N Barracuda 8s it's a quality gun . The 177 is barky without a moderator. The 177 easily get decent groups at 50yards

Got the pretensis, basically the same rifle bar a few minor details, to be honest I struggled to find the " holy grail " of pellet for it, eventually settling on the Biz Mags, even then, nothing what I'd call spectacular, probably a 10p group @ 35 - 40mtrs is the best I can achieve regularly, even then NOT every time.. That said it easily good enough for a bit of rat" N " squizzer eradication comfortably up to 30 mtrs without much effort .. Walnut is superb though, can't fault that at all, magazines is a bit suspect ( ya, gorra look out for the locating bearing first and foremost ) and can move around a bit while cycling a pellet, risking skirt damage..

Try different head sizes as well as pellet type. You would think there would not be much difference, but there can be. Ensure the barrel is clean and fire a couple of the felt barrel cleaners through between each pellet type. Shoot the first 3 shots off to the side, then do the test. All the below is at 37m. Measurements are taken from the largest side of the entire hole. Using my cheap Ebay v8 bipod and vector optics continental 6-24×44 ffp zoom at 20 magnification. Jsb exact 4.51 12.7mm group Jsb exact 4.52 24.8mm group Jsb exact 4.53 8.7mm group this is my go to pellet. Its shows up more with airarms diablo 4.51 9.2mm 4.52 32.6mm It also shoots heavy pellets quite well, with most groups around 11mm - 13mm Norma heavy Jsb exact heavy Bisley magnum The worst pellet by far is the h&n ftt 4.52mm, it looks like buck shot. I have to zoom out when using them😅
