The closest existing thing to the sort of docu-series you described wanting is The Rise of Bangtan. It's fan made but professional quality. It pulls from many many sources to show footage from their lives from pre-debut, debut, and many of their major and minor moments in between over the course of several years. If being a BTS fan was a college course, TRoB would be considered required reading material (but in video format). Like all documentaries, it's meant to be a jump off point where you can go off and explore more to learn from the sources since it's taking bits of footage stitched together and it's always best to also see the original content in full context. But it's an excellent starting point and it's all available for free on KZbin.

Tae really is just the sweetest, most wholesome, lovable guy. He was so nervous at first, comparing himself to the other members' episodes but in the end Yoongi was right. Tae just needed to be himself and it was more than enough. His genuine and sincere energy shined through and that was his own unique vibe that made his episode so very HIM. All of the members are genuine and sincere but it shows up in different ways. Tae's way was just really heartwarming and made me so happy. Also I totally get it. I'm Namjoon biased and I get happy whenever the other guys talk about him too.

Thanks for this! These Suchwita episodes are lovely. I also agree Tae is very much a gentle, soft, sweet, very sincere, sentimental and genuine person… very much the free spirited pretty fly with the wind, artistic soul & bohemian moonchild. There is a fragile melancholic beauty about him and his personality too… akin to a nostalgic butterfly that comes with being an Artistic soul.. They summed him up perfectly here in the captions ‘An innocent soul with a gentle vibe.’ and ‘A BTS Fanboy’ who ‘Borahae’s Army’. He really loves and cherishes the members and Army. I think it’s really heartbreaking when you think of how difficult some of the years have been for him with various personal losses and grief etc and his recurring burnout and depression etc. On and off from end of 2016, parts of 2017 and the most intense 2018-2020. He talked about this in the proof collectors edition interviews and during Be Album era too. He also used to suffer from insomnia… he would come to weverse and communicate with us when he couldn’t sleep. When you know of Tae’s difficult journey, Blue & Grey which he co-composed, co-produced and co-wrote really hits different and breaks your heart. Especially when you think in the industry at that time so many lives were lost. I think the fact that Tae was considering getting ‘hurt’ carries a lot more depth and weight than some have picked up on. He also talked about the 2018 time period in their latest docuseries. He mentioned crying with JK & Hobi. I’ve seen people mention the fan made Rise of Bangtan… and I could write a whole thesis on it and my thoughts and while there is great things about it I have serious issues about it too. Most people who strongly recommend it are those who joined the fandom later on and who haven’t actually seen most the original content. And while there is absolutely a place for fan made edits like it, personally I would say watch the full official content first. There are so many different official BTS docuseries as well as all their different tour DVD’s with their behind the scenes etc too. Rise of Bangtan is very well made and fun to watch and has great insight on some members… but when it comes to certain members esp Tae and Hobi, it really really falls short… don’t expect any deep genuine or accurate insight into them esp. Esp with the clips chosen. Some of the middle chapters 13,14, etc I think that really made me think hold on a second this has been edited in a very strange way. As someone who’s watched 99% of the content and all the boys lives etc, I could see some very questionable editing choices on the clips used. I began to notice that almost any clips that featured praise for Tae from the members or others etc were cut. Especially on the part chapter dedicated to him. In some other cases a 30 sec clip that would have been so much easier to include full was edited to specifically remove the mention of praise for Tae. For Hobi to watching it you would have no idea of his huge importance to the team as dance leader and the performance leader. As I said I could write a very detailed and lengthy essay about it all. So my main caution about it would be watch it by all means if you want but when it comes to the members and how they are portrayed in it esp in the middle chapters to always bare in mind it’s made by a fan who inevitably have their own biases and their own filter on how they see them and then go on to portray them. I think it’s also clear with these Suchwita episodes that no-one is more excited for BTS’s return in 2025 than the members themselves. Thanks for this genuine and lovely reaction. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I became an army with Taehyung, and V was forever my bias. It might not be wrong to say that half of this fandom initially joined V Army and gradually chose their bias. I love V not only because of his royal appearance but because of his special personality: he is gentle, considerate and sincere, yet witty and reckless, in my opinion, his free spirit can comforting members. Namjoon said once: he is our happiness preacher.

Ride of Bangtan is the best docu series. It is fan made and not finished but. Besides that there is alot of behind the scenes footages from every year and recently Disney made a docu series that was pretty good. Hobi and Yoongi and jimin each have a docu for the making of their albums
