134340 is a also about Pluto and how they took the status of a planet from it. So now it's name is star 134340
@forg_tful.3 жыл бұрын
134340 is the reference number for pluto. the whole song revolves around the fact pluto was considered a planet until 2006, when scientists found a larger celestial body in space than pluto, which was a dwarf planet (eris, mentioned in the beginning verse by rm) and because of it, reconsidered the definition of a planet, deeming pluto too small to still be considered one (it lost that status). bts make a metaphor out of that for a human relationship, the feeling of being rejected, alienized and marginalized by someone, erased from their life (just how pluto was rejected and erased from the planetary system).

As some ARMYs may know, the song “Magic Shop” was originally based on a book called Into the Magic Shop by American neurosurgeon James Doty, the Magic Shop is also part of a commonly used psychotherapeutic technique called psychodrama. Psychodrama involves role playing to help patients overcome their trauma.This track was co-written and co-composed by Jung Kook. It describes Magic Shop as a place of refuge for the heartbroken, a place of healing for the disturbed, and a place of love for those who are lonely

@Sabrina.l_3 жыл бұрын
@@Tanishqa700 True. The album is mostly rnb influenced. However BTS is considered a "pop group" (even though they're super versatile when it comes to genres) so the album is put in the pop category. They are singing 130340 from pluto's point of view. Since 2006 pluto isn't a planet anymore. so they basically talk about how they are ignored and that they just orbit around now since they have no name. Like pluto. Pluto's number is 134340. MAAAAAN magic shop is deep into to the story line i couldn't really tell you either but what i know is that in the story line each member goes to the magic shop and gives it a bad thing to get something good in return. "So What" is going CRAZY at concerts. You're literally just jumping to this song. When I think Suga showed the members "Outro: Tear" for the first time, they all cried together. With "Outro: Tear" they are talking about them as a group cause around the time this came out they were having a hard time and even thought about disbanding. J-hopes verse in Outro Tear IS INSANELY GOOD. THE EMOTIONS! Excuse me for mistakes English is not my first language :)
@michellecolin473 жыл бұрын
not so fun fact: yoongi (suga) said a few years later that his verse in "outro: tear" was written back in late 2017/early 2018, right when bts was thinking of disbanding due to the pressure and fear they felt. he said that all the members cried when listening to the final product. up until this day, i cannot help but tear up a little everytime i listen to it. i've been watching your reactions since BE and i adore seeing you fall in love more and more with bts' artistry. the fact that you went in open minded and take time to read and disect the translations is deeply appreciated! much love and happy holidays! 💜

Just wanted to point out that Paradise' lyric video wasn't very accurate here and there. At 32:30, they actually say "It's alright to not have a dream. All the breaths you breathe are already in paradise" Meaning that you can make paradise as you are by focusing on your happiness and continuing to make the best of it. You don't need to chase after something being tired each day, competing with others. The song is called paradise and that quote explains it, I really wish some of these creators who make the lyric videos got the correct lyrics before making them.

I have learned 2 things from these lyric channels. 1. They are in such a hurry to be the first channel to put out a new song, that they do not pay close attention and like you said, do not care enough to fix their errors after all this time. 2. Quite a few of these channels have their biases and if there is no clear distinction of who it actually is singing, they highlight their bias pic as the one who is singing. So disrespectful either way to not go back and fix it. Even the translations being wrong is proof they only care about quick views and not the actual substance. Not ALL of them, but yes many do. Just sad in my opinion and for that purpose I don't give them my views I get the lyrics from more caring and trusted sources.
@soniacruz84073 жыл бұрын
@@deanncoates8456 I didn't know it was about biases. I usually just look for a different lyric video. But now that you say that it makes sense. It is disappointing when you are sure you recognize the voice but is highlighting a different member. Jin and V already get less lines anyway so why take them away. Also when you know there are two voices but only one is highlighted, it is disappointing. If there is a live performance with lyrics I would suggest that, but again lurics can be wrong

To be fair tho... The translation video used the word "hung". When referring to a person or people. Hung means spending time in a place and Hanged is used when the killing stuff is meant. So the translation was not technically incorrect but it is a commonly misinterpreted word. English is complicated and sometimes native speakers confuse themselves even. Oh I am not a native speaker but our school (perhaps the country) held a high standard for the English language which is why I particularly remembered studying this one along with other commonly misused words. I'm so glad you looked up the meaning of outro:tear, that song is a masterpiece and completely heartwrenching. If you think the delivery is emotional on the studio track, wait till the live performance... They really put all their hurt and anger in that one, and i think it helped them move on

I hadn't listened to BTS before this aside from a few singles like Butter which I liked but never did a deep dive. Recently watched your review video that goes over your favorite albums you reviewed last year where you put this right at your top so figured I'd give a listen to the album. I gotta admit, it was not what I was expecting, in the best way possible. I just kinda assumed it would be mostly dance pop hits (which I do enjoy) but there's a lot of really interesting musicality and variety going on here, right from the first track. Thanks for the recommendation.

Absolutely my favorite BTS album ever! the complexity of emotion, lyricism, and musicality all packed into these songs is gorgeous yet heartbreaking. Specifically Outro: Tear is my favorite song off this album as well as my favorite rapline song because of the way they use lyrics and music to portray the pain of parting from a meaningful relationship. Each rapper wrote their own interpretation of what that pain is, through the use of the tear (crying), tear (ripping), and fear metaphors and you can tell they poured so much emotion into it because they were pondering on the end of BTS at the time. Then the way they beautifully composed, arranged, and produced this song using two genres that have such different musical characteristics (classical and rap) to create this giant punch of pain/fear/heartbreak is insane! Thank you for reacting to this album and genuinely studying and dissecting BTS' lyrics because they put so much effort into that craft and its often overlooked by people who can't see past the language barrier.

"134340 Pluto" is like Pluto's official planet name! Pluto used to be the ninth planet in the solar system, but was reclassified as a dwarf planet in 2006 and is no longer considered an actual planet like the other 8! It was a bit controversial at the time, and marked a lot of people. That's what the metaphors were about throughout the song of being thrown out, abandonned and lonely. They're comparing that to the end of a relationship (romantic or otherwise)...

magic shop is a reference to James Doty 'Into the magic shop' autobiography. In the book Doty talks about a woman who ran a magic shop that helped ease his suffering and traumas as a little boy. Magic shop is also part of commonly used psychotherapeutic technique called psychodrama in which physiatrists play as the owner of the magic shop where patients can 'buy' positive traits by selling their fears and worries. you can see this in bts 5th muster vcr film where jungkook goes to the 'magic shop' to get rid of his worries and find happiness. in other translations the chorus goes 'Let's make a door in your heart/Open the door and this place will await/t's okay to believe, the Magic Shop will comfort you' which essentially just means that magic shop is a place where you have to open your heart and you will find happiness

Here are some things about the songs on the album that could help you understand them more (It's a lot, so I'm sorry...it's just to understand the songs a bit better, don't feel forced to read it all): Sea: the reason the song is a hidden song (can only be heard if you buy the physical album) is because you have to be a real fan of BTS to understand them. Mainly because you would know all of the pain and hardships they have experienced during their years as a band, especially in the beginning, RM explained in an interview. You'll notice that they often reference a sea and a desert when mentioning their hardships and trials. Fake love: It's directly connected to the BU (Bangtan Universe). The flower they mentioned is called the Smeraldo flower. The flower is based on a story: "The legend of Smeraldo" which is also directly connected to the meaning of the truth untold. The truth untold: As I said earlier the story "The legend of Smeraldo" is the inspiration behind this song. It's basically a story about a man who lived in a castle excluded from everybody else because he looked ugly. He grew flowers in his garden,. One day a woman climbs over the fence and steals the flowers, which made the man angry at first since she repeatedly stole them. He decided to follow her one day, only to find out that the woman was so poor that she was selling the flowers for a living. He wanted to help the woman, he wanted to teach her how to grow the flowers, however, he thought she would be too scared of him due to his appearance. So instead he decided to grow flowers out of this world, flowers one of a kind. The Smeraldo flower. Just so the woman could sell the flower for an expensive price. He planted them all across his garden, however, the woman never showed up. He waited yet she never came again. He later went back to where he followed her into the village only to find out she had passed away. 134340: As you later found out the song was based on PLUTO, the name for the planet is actually the number 134340. Pluto was considered a planet at first, meaning it was the 9th planet from the sun. But it was later on designated as a dwarf planet, meaning it wasn't the 9th planet anymore. "Eris" which was mentioned in the song, is actually another dwarf planet, bigger than pluto. After the discovery of Eris, the classification of Pluto was brought into question. And yes the temperature -248 degrees is a reference to the temperature at pluto. Paradise: The idea for this song started when SUGA actually said the following during his BTS 2018 new year's message: "It’s okay even if you don’t have a dream as long as you’re happy." The numbers mentioned in the song 42.195, are a reference to the distance you have to run in a marathon, 42.195 km. The song basically says that you shouldn't run without a meaning, a reason. and that it's okay not to have a dream, as long as you're happy with where you are. That it's okay to not have a dream because every breath you exhale is already paradise anyways. (A lyric of the song the lyric video didn't translate that well) Magic shop: I have a lot to say about this song. So even though it could be seen as a love song, it's actually a song directly meant for armys. It's declared the second official fan song, the first one being 2!3!. The song is inspired by the book called: "Into the magic shop" by James R. Doty. This basically explains a psychodramatic technique that exchanges fear for a positive attitude. The song has a positive help to it (much like zero o'clock) this can be seen in the first opening lines: "I won’t say obvious things like ‘cheer up,’ but I’ll rather share with you my story". People with depression and anxiety are often told to "just be happy" or "look on the bright side". Which they're saying they won't do, so it resonated a lot. There are a lot of references in this song, not only to the previous songs but to the fandom and bts in general. For example 'I told you that we would win' is a reference to a tweet RM made in 2015, he tweeted the following: “You and I, we will win in the end. We will win so naturally, no one will see us coming.” 'I do believe your galaxy' is yet another reference to a tweet RM made, this being in 2016. During their 3rd Muster, RM said the following too about the army bombs in the crowd, “Even if this universe and this galaxy expand and grow larger, please don’t think that the distance between our hearts grows farther. Your eyes shine brighter than ARMY BOMBs. We are truly one in this galaxy.” This idea was brought into another official fan song called 'mikrokosmos'. At the end of the song they also sing "You gave me the best of me, so you'll give you the best of you. you'll find the galaxy inside. of you. so show me, ill show you." During concerts, the fans would sing the "I'll show you". Which is just heartwarming to see. Airplane pt. 2: This song was actually started due to JHOPE's verse on his own solo song on his mixtape hopeworld, called "Airplane" Anpanman: as you already know the song is about the Japanese comic Anpanman, Jimin said the following in an interview: "Anpanman is the weakest hero in the world. He doesn’t have any supernatural power, but he’s a hero who tears off himself to give food to someone who’s hungry. We put our hearts in the song that we want to give our fans hope and energy, solely with our music and performances" tear: this song actually has a deeper meaning (as if it couldn't get any deeper) it's actually them rapping about them thinking about quitting the band. The years they had were so incredibly hard and overwhelming they were deeply contemplating whether or not they should. SUGA told us that when he first played them the song they all cried together. The lyrics of the song also go like the chorus says RM-tear (crying) SUGA-tear (parting) JHOPE- fear. All of their verses match up to the part they sing in the chorus which is just beautiful. You really should check this song out live, because the live version is on another scale. That's all I can really say for the basic things, however, I do think what could make you really understand the songs much better is to do some research of them as a group, XCeleste's videos on them are really good! Especially if you go into their older discography, you can also know a bit better why they were talking about such topics if you would know a bit better where they stood and still stand for! Also, the series "Rise of bangtan" can help you out a lot to understand them on a deeper level, however, that documentary series is really long so I understand if you don't want to react or watch it right now!

When i end up reaching the lowest and darkest point, Magic shop is there to remind me i can open an imaginary door where i can rest and regain strength. So what and Anpanman tell me that, not only I'm doing great in my own way, but that i should not care what the worlds thinks about my ways.. every piece of this album touches upon one of my scars and gently embellishes it so i come to like the ugly and the dark. Joke's on you, Anpanman is pretty deep, too. 😂 BTS relates to Anpanman bc as they say in the song, how they help people is by giving a piece of themselves to others by taking their masks off. Every song, every performance, the loneliness and the bruises they get along the way to offer that to the public are the pieces of themselves they give up. ALSO, just as Anpanman can't carry anyone to safety but instead gives people motivation to save themselves (a lyrics says "I will be your strength"), BTS can't directly rescue you from your problems in life. The best they can do is to give you that piece of themselves and hope that you gain the strength to rise above your situation. Really loved every minute of your album review, especially since you get into the lyrics. More power to you, Michael! 💜

I’m fairly confident that every single ARMY has the same reaction to Outro: Tear. When the true meaning of it is discovered the lyrics go from hard to heartbreaking so fast. It’s even more meaningful to me coming from the rap line. The powerful relationships between the members are special. The hyungs taking care of the maknaes, the dance line taking care of Jin, the extroverts looking out for the introverts, everyone taking care of JK, the seven of them looking out for ARMY and RM taking care of everyone. This doesn’t even touch the one on one relationships. My favorite though is the rap line taking care of the vocal line. This song feels like the three of them took on everything the group was going through amongst themselves and fought the war. They tore their world down with them and rebuilt the victory with their tears. It’s a favorite and evokes the same massive emotions every time I hear it.
