Once called Jurassic Life - Jurassic Vision is a first person adventure / shooter game set in Jurassic Park during the fall of the first park. 5:00 I think you hit on one of the big things I disliked about the Jurassic World trilogy: the tech. I mean, obviously in JP technology is more advanced than in "our universe" because people managed to re-create dinosaurs. But in the original JP that was basically the ONLY advanced tech we got. JW has gyrospheres, and even the fancy monorail that just....doesn't fit the island. JW feels like a theme park with fancy and shiny technology, whereas JP feels much more like a safari on a nature preserve. 15:48 .....see, my instinct would NOT have included shooting the rex with a little revolver 20:14 Yep, you were NOT wrong! Wow that was so spooky!!! What a great shot. Genuinely terrifying.

The reason JW seems more like a tourist destination is because IT IS A THEME PARK. They quite literally say that they turned it into a theme park

That was the point. Its meant to represent a bastardized version of JP with a bit of poking at modern day consumerism. The JW trilogy is actually pretty good. The problem is everyone seems to have expected it to try and capture the magic of the first film. Which it was never going to be able to do and honestly is better for not trying to.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you! That drove me absolutely crazy. The first movie has very realistic technology for the time. The technology in the Jurassic world franchise was like futuristic stuff or stuff that no theme park no matter how nice would use. It was annoying. That was a huge problem that I had with the movie The Meg. I felt like I was watching it futuristic space movie not a shark movie.

I think they don't want to make a Jurassic Park survival horror FPS because of what happened the last and only time they tried that (Trespasser). It's a shame because Trespasser is my favourite game and I'd love more like it.

Trespasser was rated T. And that game failed because it was far too ambitious for its time and a somewhat odd marketing campaign. Nowadays, you can make the game quite easily. Universal not only are imploding, but they would rather take the safe route and market things to the largest market that exists: Children. How and why? It's safer and more profitable than trying to market a Rated R movie/show or Rated M (or adult) game. You can't market that stuff to children. Marketing to adults only means you gain a niche audience, while marketing to kids is profitable and you snag some adults too. Win-win for them. It doesn't help they had greenlit a couple FPS games that are... darker than the usual stuff only to not market it and release it to systems that only a few people know about or can't afford. Like that FPS Jurassic World game for VR. Didn't do too hot because it's VR exclusive.

Trespasser was WAYYYYYY ahead of its time and the tech back then could not follow the whole minimal HUD fully immersive experience is something that is only becoming mainstream now its crazy to think just how far ahead the Trespasser devs were thinking.

@@SoldierXXL I know! And the world is so complex and immersive, you always seem to find something new to do when you play. And I don't mean complex like lots of content, the relatively simple rules that govern the world create interesting situations... some chaos theory there.

Even if its free it still infringes on the copyright and IP sadly =(. universal is very protective of its IP, which I don't understand why they wont make a non-cannon survival game of JP. Aside from Lost World JP, none of the sequels ever managed to capture the ominous threatening atmosphere of the first. The darkness, the rain, the impending doom. This game captures it perfectly. 👌

I think 3 should be added to that list. The shot of the raptor running by as they enter the Embryonic Facility is ominous, threatening, and atmospheric. As well as when they discover the raptor nests.

they used half life 2 as the mod interface, but its got the doom 3 claustrophobia as you're disabled from going anywhere n everywhere, just up, down, backwards and forwards in dark narrow hallways to solve little puzzles

Yeah I remember Jurassic Park: by Michael Crichton the juveniles were later killed by the crew on the ship when spotted. There is also some dinosaur eggs for Jurassic Parks 30th anniversary in Walmart now.
