Honestly, I think it was less that she knew that she was going to break his heart, and more that he had broken hers. Him asking her to let the resistance die, and to join him in ruling the First Order was in complete contradiction to why she came. Him killing Snoke gave her hope that he could be turned from the Dark Side, and him asking her to join him there ripped all that away; informing her that even when he had the chance at a clean slate and no one to manipulate him, he would still *choose* the Dark Side. I don't think she would have ever taken his hand in that context. That's not to say that she wouldn't want to be on the same side; but I don't think Rey is the type who would ever turn on her friends - which, whether the Resistance was in trouble that moment or not, was exactly what Kylo was asking her to do.

I usually don't comment on KZbin, but I logged in just to do this: HOLY SHIT THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING VIDEO I'VE EVER SEEN. Editing is flawless. I love minimalistic it is. I've never liked the videos with a ton of transitions and such, so this is just absolutely perfect. You didn't need to use fancy transitions or anything, but you still somehow made every cut completely and utterly perfect. I'm literally so astounded. Amazing work! Subscribing so hopefully I'll see more of you!
