He never got to be surrounded by love again. He never got to be with the Rey the way he deserved. I love how the good side and the bad side fall in love by believing in each other. Rey learned Ben's past and believed he could change, she told him he could, that she would help him, and in the other hand Ben saw how lonely Rey was and understood her. This is one of the greatest ships I have encountered, and I love it bc it's not only this but it's also a loop, if u remember anakin and Padme, it's the same, except Ben found rey long after he was turned a sith, and Anakin was "completly" turned into a sith lord when he found out padme was dead. I believe that if Padme was still alive, Darth Vader would have never last as long as he did. (Also I so hope this doesn't end like padme and anakin, I don't wanna see them dead bro I want Rey to be able to turn Ben into the good side)

*“Where there was conflict I now sense resolve, where there was weakness...strength...complete your training and fulfill...your...destiny!”* Where Ben was conflicted about killing Rey he has accepted that he doesn’t have it in him to kill her (resolve), her being the only real conflict left ever since Han’s death and since he chose not to kill Leia Where he saw Rey as his “weakness” (his unwillingness to kill her, her raw power in the force and his force connection to her) he now views her as his “strength” He fulfills his “destiny” by putting an end to the Sith as his grandfather once tried to do, and he admits to the only person who truly understands him (Rey) that he doesn’t want to be alone... I honestly don’t see how this isn’t a reverse of Anakin and Padme... like the force correcting itself... Anakin turned to the dark side for Padme and in doing so ultimately gave up love for power Ben will turn away from the dark side for Rey and in doing so ultimately give up power for love

I spent an hour looking for this edit yesterday. Today I put on a post-rock playlist and this song came up, so I finally had the keywords to narrow it down. This is THE Reylo edit because it shows how much better the Rey Nobody narrative is. While looking for her parents drives her toward her journey, what truly gives her purpose are her own convictions. She believes in goodness and redemption, which is why it's much more heartbreaking that when Ben reveals the truth to her, he's also unable to let go of his pain and anger as she is of her past. They are both broken at this point and I truly wish the franchise had gone on more of an inner-self exploration route rather than just space battles and lightsabers. Oh well, whatever sells I guess.

OMG, I think this is the Vid I've been waiting for since the last Jedi came out. It is so brilliantly constructed and interwoven. I love your use of Luke and Snoke here. Most omit them altogether. The part where you overlayed Rey talking about being in the cave, with her arriving to Kylo really stood out to me. It makes that part even more dreamy and fairytale like. I wish everyone could see this, then I think they'd finally understand the magical spell we are under when it comes to these two!
