@@ETRuT1 In some of the newscast episodes you can briefly see the shadow of the cam guy. There you could see that the mobilphone is simply mounted in a gimbal system. That's why the focus is so concentrated on the narrator even in that rough terrain where they both walk. Nothing to do with being a "superb cameraman"! Everyone with such a technological tool and some training in its usage can produce such pictures. (If one has the luck to be in such a place that is of course!) Haven't seen an episode from them yet where they talk about the job background of the people so of course it could be that Valurs guy is a trained cameraman with years of professional videoshooting, but I doubt it! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gimbal

I really appreciate the fact that you guys don't cover the audio of video clips with music. Getting to hear the sounds of this eruption, in places where no human could safely trek, adds a whole new layer of depth to the reporting and sets this channel apart from others.

Yes, I agree. Another example was when Vadur was mentioning the rain-like sounds that the still hot parts of the lava rock; Art had the drone zoom in on a close up of the lava and increased the volume to make that subtle sound more evident.

So good of you to catch the noise made at the edges of flows. That will continue for some time as it creeps from pressure or the weight of lava behind and collapsing as it cools and off gases. You or your producer or your cameraman I don't know who is responsible but someone there has the eye for capturing something different than the drama queens, equally interesting, fascinating really. I can’t get enough of looking at the volcano-the cones, lava being flung into the air, lava moving slowly and lava running down a hill, it is just all so fascinating. Actually, lava flows and falls are an older concept than their water equivalents. This planet was molten rock for millions of years before any liquid water formed at all. So, 'precedence' should turn your comment around.

There are no words to express how much I love this video footage, and the commentary. I am sharing the material (for example) with a 94 year old friend who was a documentary film director for decades. With him the conversations are about both the technology and what one can do with the technology; the drones are a part of this of course. Excellent reporting. Mount Tambora eruption occurred on April10, 1815 causing snow in June and crops failed here in the United States as well as other parts of the world. The end of the video was spectacular! Well done.

My daughter and I depend now on your videos for a closer look at the volcanoes and lava fields. We visited Iceland Sept 2012, June 2013, July 2015 and July 2016. That's a very good point. In the beginning, we are standing south of the lava, in the second and third, we are west of the lava, and in the end, we are standing in the north side of the lava, where Meradalur is.

What a pleasure getting to know a little more about Iceland and its people. We have enjoyed all these videos over the past few weeks and will miss them once the excitement of this unique volcanic event subsides. These presenters speak excellent English and explain the various situations and circumstances very well. What a delight, too, to see their beautiful doggy companion enjoying every moment as well. There is one thing that l so hate the smell of that it makes me wretch - Sulphur! After spending a day at Rotorua, New Zealand, the smell of sulphur was in everything, including the food! I hope it isn't anywhere near that bad in Iceland. The scientists are right when they say that this Volcanic eruption isn't big news. It's due to the the global pandemic that the world has focused so much attention on it to break the monotony. Also, with today's technology we are able to witness this in a way we have never been able to before. The footage and updates we have received makes us part of this event too. Personally I think it occurred at just the right time to grab the public's interest whilst not putting anyone in Iceland in harm's way.
