Man, you stole it. I said 30k was my guess. Hagarty number 2 which this car is shows a price of over 40k. People are missing the point with comments why pay this much for car that gets beat by Camry. Well, if you grew up in the 80's The IROCZ was bad ass car and no Camary or Toyota can close to the performance or looks back in the day. And is this not the reason we buy these cars. I am 53 years old but when i get behind my Irocz it takes me back to 16 again.

Well, I said over 20K, so I was in the ballpark. I have no idea what these are truly worth, as I haven't priced them in some time. Its crazy to me that they are basically the same price as the 4th gen F-bodies.

If your purchase was purely an investment it matters what you paid but if you bought it because it's a car you really wanted then don't worry about it, just enjoy it. The value will go up either way. If it's something I really wanted and was hard to find, I wouldn't mind paying a little more if I could afford to. Things are worth what people are willing to pay. Life is short, make the most of it

Another comforting factor to think about is that you are making content out of it, and in time, it will actually pay for the car. I've made a bunch of content out of my 92 RS that I only paid 3K for a long time ago, and the money from the content has paid for the car many times over.

Money can't buy you happiness, but it could get you an awesome Iroc like you have. Looking forward for more videos, hope you'll make content on maintenance and personal mods you do to the car to make it truly yours. -Newly subbed Norwegian fellow Iroc owner (1987 Maroon Lb9 Hardtop, 5-speed G92 9-bolt 3:45 rear rocking Trans Am GTA wheels)

You’re car should appreciate in value over time if well kept and not driven too much. Originality and obviously condition is what brings the money in these cars. I paid $16,000 for my 13,000 mile all original car in 2015. In April 2022 I sold it to to a guy in Colorado for $43,000 with 16,000 miles on it. That was my dream car going back to the first blue iroc I saw in 1985 while cruising around my college town in my blue 1982 z28. I hated to sell but the offer was just too good to pass up. I’ve still got my black 85. In fact I took it out of storage this weekend and put about 100 miles on it. Enjoy your beautiful car, we only go around once.

I had a 3rd-GEN 1990 I-ROC-Z Camaro with the 5.7 Liter T.P.I. Engine with only 245 H.P., which I purchased back in May of 1990. It came with the DELCO BOSE Sound System and it was a Burnt Red (not Tomato Red) Color with Black Interior. Yes, you are correct, T-Tops did not come with the 5.7 Liter I-ROC-Zs because of the Torque that the transmission created on the Body. However, it was still a great car, but, I did not like not having T-Tops with the 5.7 Liter T.P.I. Engine and I did not like the all Aluminum / Metal Body Panels (Hood, Doors, etc.). You have to worry about DENTS and eventual RUST with a car made of all Aluminum / Metal Body Panels. By the way, my I-ROC-Z's MSRP was $22,389.41 right off the showroom floor back then. Meanwhile, that is why I eventually graduated up to a 35th Anniversary 4th-GEN 2002 Camaro SS that is Dark Navy Blue Metallic with the T-Tops, has the 5.7 Liter LS-1 Engine with 345 H.P., and has a 6-Speed Manual Trans with the Hurst Shifter and the SLP Center Mounted Exhaust (C.M.E.) System. Its 22 Years Old and I still have it. Now, the only Aluminum / Metal Body Panels that I have to worry about DENTING and RUSTING are the two (2) Rear Quarter Panels. All other Body Panels are made of DENT-RESISTANT PLASTIC COMPOSITE or FIBERGLASS material. FYI, this particular Camaro SS's MSRP was $40,765.43, but, it will last longer without an all Aluminum / Metal Body.

Even the 2002 camaro market is heating up too. Now with the 5.7 liter not having T-Tops I guess that was just for 1990? I know the previous years they were all over the place. Funny how chevy/GM were only concerned about twisting the chassis the very last year lol.

I loved those cars and wish I still had em. I always had a soft spot on my heart for the IROC’s but never got one. I would take very good of that car cuz they are very rare now in that condition. I get this video is a year old but I’ve just got the urge to grab myself an old school muscle car again. The first car I ever bought was a 91 Trans Am GTA when I was in my 20’s . I really enjoyed that beast. I’ve looked at newer Camaro, Mustangs, Vette’s & Challenger’s I just recently found a 91 Z28 Convertible with 60k 1 owner in beautiful shape. Have to weigh out the options of going completely back to analog to staying closer and keeping some digital when I make the choice. The 91 Camaro & Trans Am are definitely archaic even compared to a say a 2004 C5 Vette but the car in good shape is killer looking. I have to make a decision soon because these cars in good shape are becoming increasingly hard to find. So are Fox Body Mustangs , Cobra’s and notchbacks. Decisions Decisions. Beautiful beast though !

Last year, I bought a Canadian 1989 IROC-Z, T-Top, LB9, 5 speed, completely original down to the tires... with 20kmiles, one owner!!! I have all documentation. Total cost with taxes was cn$30.7k about us$22k. I spent an extra us$5k to bring it up to speed including 100hrs of DIY tuning and basic maintenance. I made the decision to install subframe connectors to straighten the chassis, preventing the B pillar crack to get worse (driver side). Paint needed little work, just a one step correction. Since the paint was original, I did not go crazy on the correction. The interior is a 9.8/10! Since last year, I know the prices have gone up. Congratulations.

WOW! My Favorite car of ALL TIME!! Had 3 of them. When I was 17 (in 1992) I bought my first one. A Black 1987 IROC Z-28 305TPI. 5 months later, some moron decided to make a left turn from the centerlane and I "T-boned " him. TOTALED MY Z.. Took the Insurance check and bought another 1987. A red one this time! Same 305TPI. Had in until 1994 when I rode in my buddies 1989 IROC with the 5.7 350cu in engine. Spanking the Mustang GT's of the day. Sold mine and found a 1987 with the 350cu in engine and the Australian 9 bolt rear end option from the dealer that came with 3.23 gears. 30,000mi car $6000 cash. Had that car until 2006. Kicking myself everyday for that mistake. Tried to find it a few years ago but had no luck. Anyway, that's a beautiful find. A true Gem!! Take good care of her!!!

i was confused by the video a bit, but i think i figured it out as i had the same problem. you have too many cars that you cant store at your house. i would take that ram out of the garage and put the Camaro in there. i'm shocked at the prices of the thirdgens lately. my girl i bought from an owner that didn't treat it good. i restored the interior and modified it. it was a base model lg4 5 speed manual car with posi traction and A/C. 17k in 1986. she currently has a 6.0 hot cam ls with long tube headers an ls7 clutch with a tremec tko 600 5 speed mated to a moser 12 bolt rear axle, fully adjustable suspension. unfortunately she spends most of her time on the bendpak above my c6 vette.

That's a beautiful car, I sure wish it was me that owned it. I was trying to read the odometer, did it say around 4400 miles? I once owned an 86 IROC, I sure regret getting rid of it. At the time, I lived in the city and everybody wanted to steal it. Also, after 50k miles, it started running really crappy and the dealer and nobody else could figure out why. The dealers treated me like total crap when I would try to get it repaired. Well, I guess those are just the things that happened back in the 80s with the nicer GM cars.

Value is very much what you place on it. Looks good to me. You’ve got a nice little collection going on there. Classics.

I paid $15.5k out the door for my LB9, 5spd, t-topped IROC. Granted that was in 1988, and I now have about 132kmiles on it.

I am buying a z28 1995 is there any main problems to look out for or any cosmetic issues please let me know

The opti-spark isn't the best design. Look out for oil leaks, slow power window motors, and rust in the rear quarter panels. I had a 1994 z-28 Camaro for 5 years, and those were the main issues. Good luck!

I was going to initially state $19K but the flawed PAINT was a deterrent. The 45K on the odometer definitely helped to boost that sale price. All in All, the crew over here feels as though you did well since the vehicles are ascending rapidly. Many Thanks for the update ! Question - if in ONE year so someone offered you $40K would you SELL this Z28 ?!? 👉 💰 💰. 🤔

I guessed $25k, prior to knowing this.

Gorgeous car but it still blows my mind that you can find equivalent C4 Corvettes for less than half that money. Oh well supply and demand I guess.

Truth. I bought a couple of months ago a mint 1996 Corvette LT1 with the rare ( 8% made ) Z51 Handling package. 40k miles white with red interior. Paid $14k But recently have seen them going up in price pretty fast. I have already been offered $18k. Nope keeping it forever along with my 64 Sting Ray and my 2007 3LT Z51

Worst car I ever had was a 1989 Camaro made to look like a Iroc. I bought it used though. Had to fix something on it almost every day. Looked great though. Recently bought a 2013 Camaro. Awesome car.

You got a good deal for a car with that mileage. The no t-tops will hurt the resale though

Such a beautiful car. Congratrulations. This is the sort of vehicle that can last another 40 years if looked after. Not like the modern rubbish.

You are so wrong. Modern "rubbish" is a million times better than old ass cars that were never good even when they were new
@Jack-tx2ve
@Jack-tx2ve Жыл бұрын
@@fartdonkey8290 Is that right? Modern cars are better appliances. They work really well when they work. But when they are out of warranty, there are so many complex, expensive things that can fail that they become almost un ownable. That's why so many new models come and go from the roads so quickly, so many end up on the scrap pile. With old cars, if you looked after the corrosion, you could own them for many years, you could fix them with a hammer and some basic knowledge and they would still get you from A to B. All my cars are more than 30 years old. I never take them to a professional to be fixed and I do 10 of thousands of miles a year.
