I just got my puck yesterday, and we used it for a POTA activation. Eight - 2.5m radials resulted in 158 Q's. I actually worked you today on it. Glad I found your vid.

Kevin....how did you settle on 8/2.5mm radials? I see so much on varied lengths, how many, etc. Another antenna builder, won't mention who, has a detailed video on radials saying that 8/16' are every bit as good as 4/33'

@@off-trailseeking3965 Another YT vid a guy tested 2m, but added .5m and he said it seemed to work better. That 2.5m basically comes out to 8' 2.5". Look for K8MRD here. He tested it and ironically, I worked him on it from my backyard on a POTA activation of his.

I loved the design for the radials with that antenna and hoped they would make this for WRC and similar, but I think $45 is just too pricey. For now I'll keep with my bundles of 4 that use battery clips. But I admit it looks nice.

Alligator clips on the WRC legs is cheap and super easy. And you can use the radials on other setups. Not for me but I applaud the creativity and effort.

Our regular [Z] QD Radial puck should work well with the MPAS. It has a 3/8-24 thread which will screw on to the bottom of the MPAS.

Very clever! It’s a bit pricey for me right now, though. I just made some bundles with a banana plug on the end that fits into an alligator clip that I can attach to the legs of the stand (or stake, or whatever I’m using). It’s just as fast, but not as elegant. 👍🏼

Boy, it's a good thing you remembered that plastic sleeve! It would be terrible to short your radial to ground. And gold plated too! Do you also use Monster cables for your stereo speakers? ;^)

Also , to the people complaining about price: yes $45 may not be worth it to you, but if you understand what goes into CNC machining a quality piece of aluminum, the price is actually about right.
