I still stand by my theory that Area X is basically Eden restructuring the computer system for Lumi's rebirth as an AI. So it's basically a bridge between Rez and Child of Eden.

@@jtlego1 No, this is after Swayzak restarts Eden and reveals the true being at her core. Eden invites Swayzak, who's now a good program because Eden cleansed him, to enjoy the beauty of life with her. Besides, Swayzak is in this stage being controlled. (Swayzak is a nickname for the main character of Rez just so you know.)

Rez has been a part of my being since the Dreamcast. I have bought every version since. A true masterpiece of entertainment, and like the comment below states, it's a masterful journey through light and sound. Play it as loud as possible, turn the lights down, and keep that snare drum ticking with every beat. Superb!

makes me wonder, they spended time importing from dc to computer and new consoles and even put it in vr, and i have to say area X is amazing it show what the game would have been as new generation rez but i wonder, why did they stop there? why not make an entire story with new graphics like area X, like a coletion of levels, why really stop there? really they could make rez 2 or something

Damn I'm so torn Ive clicked on this video so many times but pause almost immediately. I love Rez and want to check this out so bad but PS VR is still £350. £390 including the camera. I want to know what it is like so bad. But I don't want to ruin the surprise of finding out what it is before I experience it. Just like Area 5 Eden I want to experience it without knowing what it contains or what to expect.

You definitely won't regret PSVR. I find it extremely hard personally to play normal ps4 games now. I just buy PSVR titles.

oh, just buy the damned thing trust me.... you'll like it make sure you put it on the AREA X option before you start playing it it quickly allows you to play the best parts of this game

You have to get VR if your a serious gamer. And don't worry about watching the video. It can't begin to show how emotionally moving this game is.

@@catluva74 I would love to get VR as a 'serious gamer', but, like a lot of people, can't really justify it on the basis of this one level in Rez. There are a handful of games that I like the sound of in VR, like Blood and Glory(or whatever it was called), Tetris Effect, and I wouldn't mind trying Superhot VR even though I have the original. But on the basis of those titles alone I can't justify a £350 spend. It's a shame that across all of the VR systems that have been out for years now already there still isn't really one great AAA game that would justify the purchase of any of the platforms. I was forlornly hoping Valve would make an exclusive for Vive like Portal 3(or even you-know-what 3) but there's nothing to push me into the pool yet.
