Reza Aslan is a religious scholar and the author of three international best-selling books including the #1 New York Times Best Seller “Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth.” He is also the host of “Rough Draft with Reza Aslan” on the new Topic streaming service on which he interview writers and authors about writing, and he co-hosts the “Metaphysical Milkshake” podcast. Reza is also a TV and film producer whose projects have included executive producing “Of Kings and Prophets” on ABC and the documentary series “The Secret Life of Muslims.”
Reza discusses growing up in America as an Iranian American and his conversions from Islam to Christianity and back to Islam, he talks about his work as a religious scholar, and Reza reveals what he plans to write next and how he works when it comes to writing.

@M T The Gospels were written 30-70 years after Jesus' death, likely as a response to the failed Jewish revolts against Rome which failed to bring God's Kingdom to earth. Mark was the first Gospel written, with Matthew and Mark using it as source material. Biblical Scholars generally agree that the Gospels are not eyewitness accounts. Stories were passed orally for decades, before being transcribed into Greek to reach a wide audience. You ever play the game "telephone"?

Reza seems to be a man lost in religion, human view-point and cultural identity. If he once had faith in Jesus Christ he is saved. However, he appears to have completely left his faith and to grow in his personal relationship with him and to share the happiness of God. Sad, he now appears to be lost and goes deeper into the dark side of life which does not glorify God and to help mankind know the one true God. There are no lies with God and there are no lies in His presence in heaven or will be with you if you are in His presence. Therefore, know the mind of Christ which is truth and share the happiness of God. Instead of talking out of both sides of your mouth as Reza seems to have professionally and magnificently mastered to do for his celebrityhood and need for fame.

The scriptures also refer to Jesus Christ as the Word of God. Which is interesting as it draws parallels to both Old Testament and Muslim scriptures. The Quran itself claims God spoke to creation and said "Come forth willingly or unwillingly" and it came forth willingly. Did creation obey God or did creation obey the Word of God? How is this possible if the Word of God is not God?

Reza is a religious businessman who makes a living telling people there is an invisible, unknowable man living in his magic kingdom in the clouds. According to the Bronze Age New Testament, the Jewish character named Yeshua died to forgive humanity for crimes against him they never committed. Unfortuntely Jesus never returned to fulfill his promise of gathering up the believers in this heavily fictionalized story instead leaving it to Reza the religious scholar to tell everyone it's true.

There’s no such thing as jumping faiths 3 times. Especially if you ever truly believed that in the death, burial and resurrection of Messiah. No man comes to know the one true God and decides that they would rather believe in a allah. Your faith was never firmly planted in truth. The only Truth that the quran confirms is that it’s s 100 % written from the mind of satan himself being that the “supposed” original text was destroyed so a completely new one had to be written. @Wally Davidson even if they were discovered, They represent the remnants of larger manuscripts damaged by natural causes or through human interference, with the vast majority holding only small scraps of text. Its not the complete book. For u to say that remnants of the book were found shows that the torah isnt how it was thousands of years ago. God sent down the bible bc the word of the torah altered and then the words of the bible altered so God sent down the Quran as his final book which he will protect till the day of judgment. Im not saying the torah is not a holy book. It is but I will not accept it bc you guys don't accept Prophet Muhammad and Jesus.
