I'm an American and have studied alot about Iran the Pahlivi family and I can tell that both the prince and the king were very honorable men! When the revolution came his father refused to result to violence to stop these terrorists. He saw them as fellow countrymen and refused to kill his own people and chose to leave in exile. I can't say that was a wise decision but he did what he thought was right.

Most of what he is saying makes sense. I have no idea about the background or past of this man, but his words alone, taken at face value, speak of a desire for secularity, human rights for all and democracy. Those aren't bad fundaments for a peaceful and prosperous country.

A thoughtful and realistic man who has looked at this dilemma from every angle.
