This was my dad's bird, down at the school in San Antonio where he was an engine instructor. I grew up on A-4s and later F/A-18s as a Marine. Your vid brought back a lot of memories from my childhood, up to the things we talked about as adult men, and jet mechanics. Thank you.

thanks for posting this, my dad was a crew chief on one in Germany, he said it was a great jet but slow on take off, he got in a bit of trouble for reworking the plates to give it more boost on take off, his jet was airborne in half the runway distance than the others

It really is. Hindsite is 20/20 but the vodoo was a step in the wrong direction. I would have just invested and developed better engines for the RF-84F rather than an almost totally new aircraft, especially with the RF-84F excellent operational history!
