Pro tip: Use a small blob of Grease instead of rtv to hold the copper gaskets in place! The grease will burn off in the first few mins of the engine running.

Do you feel any difference in the power after the swap because the diameter of the pipes looks the same. I have a micron slip-on on mine RF and I wonder if I should change the whole system. Great video as always. :-)
@Adikxx5 жыл бұрын
Hi, the weather here was so bismal for last few days and i seriously had no chance to ride it yet. Admittedly the diameter of pipes is similar but they are shaped differently .They're somewhat less bent plus there is no link between pipes 2 and 3 like in stock headers. This typically improves high rpm performance. I also put longer race homologated end can after filming the video. Was told by Dyno guy couple of years ago that my stubby can kills HP hence putting on longer one for now. I can't bloody wait to ride it on open rode, i'll chuck some update vid or message you when i really know what's up. Thanks for kind words about the video! regards

@Adikxx3 жыл бұрын
You won't be able to get one for RF 600 because that engine has cable operated clutch and splined rod is situated on the inner side of the clutch cover.

5:42 why not replace the screws by nuts + bolts, you glue the bolts in the head with loctite inside the head and you ll just have to remove hex bolts ...

Hi This clutch cover was custom made in the UK. Below you will find a link to Ebay listing where they have one for Bandit1200. You can contact them about a cover for RF900 and they will make you one. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224256229337?hash=item3436b67fd9:g:IzsAAOSwRs1eTR4y&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA8OgQlLhrSm2mB2H6T2Ql75mLMSPR4ZU6hMVxhB3v1XZ%2BN3XFdzObRC7IovWmhtcoFr04CHMT%2BYcyZZPZVkFx0ZbYYavRTWsPQY0S6eiKnRjlul9EchO5Mi2OAAMTcU4Bx6ZEfhkVKt2acEBkXR3KIHMuYxmVA5qW5egyZxFleicVf0LRRPLhSzUM%2BW81temcgO04nfMpfZDCCCS74Ydv6VHTKzK7bhe9MmcwfxYkupPwBbwFFdZXQM5PM%2BPQZwQY5CdlY7G8veCEJ5CbYli3UE%2FUVjpDoJodCW8oqT1Wc9uoYyioIPNIQEugMhkmUiIfyQ%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBMhtnUqq5h

Where did you find your after market coolant hoses? I've been looking for some for quite a while now ... Did ask one well known manufacturer (can't remember the name now), and they said they hadn't made any products for the RF for many years now ... The S/S system - what an excellent find! :-)

Hoses from Ebay. As3 performance.

@@Adikxx Purchased and fitted! Thank you! I've done one thing different - worked the heat/mechanical protection rubbers off the OEM pipes and worked them onto the AS3 replacements. Can't be sure if not doing so would lead to an area of wear, but for a few minutes more faff, I thought I'd err on the side of caution :-)

Hi. Watched all your vids and tbh i bought an rf last year because of that. Quick question, the bottom mount for the radiator is no more on my current engine (bolt snapped) so il only be able to use the top bolts to secure it... i figure this should be ok providing i can secure it somehow. Metal cable ties or similar ?
@Adikxx5 жыл бұрын
Hi, that's a tough one tbh... I imagine it should be fine if front end of your bike doesn't land hard on tarmac too often but ideally it would be good to have some other "attachment" in place at the bottom of the rad. Would it be possible to drill through the snapped bolt and getting a new bolt in? Metal cable tie sounds decent if there is a solid way of routing it.
@TUBZ6005 жыл бұрын
adikxx83 yes i could have a fiddle, but im a tad reluctant to go to hard at it as i don’t want to damage the block just for the sake of trying to drill or twist it out i guess, particularly as its already double bolted at the top
@Adikxx5 жыл бұрын
@@TUBZ600 fair play i understand the predicament. Maybe test it the way it is now and if it doesn't cause issues you're good. If the rad moves or causes any sort of worries then it's time for attempt to repair the mount. Either way i hope things will work for you!

Good job. If you would like to upgrade your calipers, buy pistons set from Suzuki B-king, they are aluminium with coated, very lightweight. These calipers with 14 mm brake master cylinder work best! I did this upgrade on my ZRX1200. Where is your ZRX? Did you sell it?
@Adikxx5 жыл бұрын
Hi buddy, yeah sold the Rex to free up some funds for modified GSX and now miss the Rex hugely. Are those calipers from B-king ok for direct swap? Or some mods are required? Regards
@hardy-xn1kq5 жыл бұрын
@@Adikxx Not calipers, only pistons set. B-king has radial brakes, but pistons size same as you have. GSX very nice bike, but ZRX smaller and clever for me. You have good taste)
