Thank so so much, Dr. Jinfeng Li! You are an incredible lecturer with the perfect amount of abstraction.

Excellent explanation. I install antennas and satellite dishes, I always install diplexers to combine Satellite TV with Cable TV or Satellite TV with antenna (TV and Radio). It is mandatory two diplexers the first for Aerial/Cable TV and satellite dish, the second is for satellite receiver and TV, Cable/Antenna STB, FM/DAB Radio. For aerial it is recomended an amplified splitter. There are diplexers with 5 inputs and 4 outputsm the 5 inputs are for 4 LNB inputs and one Aerial/Cable TV and the 4 outputs have both signals combined, at the end a diplexer is mandatory. But if you only use a satellite receiver no need for a diplexer.

Recently bought a Comet CF-4160J Duplexer…..however it functions like your Diplexer example. So has comet used the incorrect name, or am I missing something

Yes they have, many amateur devices use the wrong term.

And what about a circulator? is it the same as a duplexer?
