So happy having the LP-100 having replaced ol'e analouge meters. A really great piece of meter. With software and attached to PC, it goes from great to amazing :)

Agreed. The LP-100 (that I borrowed from K1CAL) is a solid measuring instrument. The Elecraft W-2 is lacking in precision with the limited number of front panel LEDs - but with the Elecraft software running, it is good too. Thanks for commenting. 73 de W4EEY

so, which one is correct? Im curious how you had all the meters "hooked up"? Series or parallel.....

They were hooked up one at a time. Then a reading was taken. I'd say the LP-100 was the most accurate. 73 de W4EEY

You're right, the W2 isn't very precise without the app. Did you rerun the test with the app later?

Not fair comparing the number of LEDs on the W2 against the digital readout of the LP100. You should really see what the software is saying on the W2 to get a comparable resolution. Great video though nonetheless

Hey Ariel! - You are absolutely right. I realized this during the recording but decided to proceed anyway. I did give the Elecraft some special treatment though, as at one point I said a reading was "two and a half LED's". I really thought that's what I was seeing - but of course you can't light up half an LED! Oops. I may try this again in some fashion (using multiple bands and/or modes) after building the new amplifier for K1CAL. 73 de W4EEY

Never buy electronic equipment at a hap fest - it's like any other swap meet, vendors sell off used crap that either doesn't work properly or has some defect so they unload it on people whom they will never see again.
