I am in an rFactor2 league and none of us are giving up this great sim anytime soon . We all love other sims and play them together but rF2 has been our no.1 for years . Before that it was rf1 . With 5000+ hours on Steam and many more before rF2 went to Steam I have more than had my monies worth . I am enjoying LMU and find it a difficult sim to (attempt to) master but I relish the challenge . I hope that one day there will be an rFactor3 , who knows but in the meantime there are new sims on the horizon and I am looking forward to driving each and every one . Surely sim racing can only get better ?

You don't need a subscription to race online. Why do so many people misunderstand this? You can take part in the daily/weekly/special event races for free and race on practice servers or hosted servers or host your own servers.
@N2oMusic21 күн бұрын
They're adding a subscription service which is more tailored to esports by the sounds of it. You can continue to race online as it currently is, but the subscription service adds more, like championships and 'Le Mans Virtual' quaification for example.

Yes, but more and more is being put behind a subscription. The trend is worrying.
@lordclumsy20 күн бұрын
@@ACasualRacer Subscriptions are a real pain and they suck, and the trend has unfortunately been going on for at least a decade. Companies want control over their products and customers. You can no longer own things like you could years ago, everything is only licensed because ownership would mean you are independent of the companies. There are often no physical media, only digital products. You don‘t own a single Steam game. Don't want to wait for the disc to arrive?! just buy the digital version....these are the behaviors that have supported this in the earlier days. Some companies are fairer with subscriptions than others and use the financial opportunities to provide content and services, others simply exploit the models.

I greatly prefer GT3 and GTE in rFactor 2 vs LMU. I just don’t feel the cars as good in LMU. LMu’s FFB is a bit disappointing, especially since the LMU team owns rFactor 2. RFactor 2 is one of the best examples of great feeling FFB. Good physics in LMU, but for now i prefer rFactor 2 and even Iracing over it. Looking forwards for LMU team to tighten up the FFB and give the FFB better dynamic range and more weighty feel so you feel the cars load up in corners. Looking forwards to AC Evo release perhaps even more right now.

@@kolysion164 everyone has a personal preference to what they feel is accurate. I will say that ACC is the 2nd best driving experience from what I can tell, and very close to LMU. Good video, but your prices are off no one really just wants the "base game". I was interested in LMU, but didn't know it was the same price gouging dev team that did RF2. The "base game" has like 10 cars and 7 tracks...just making numbers up but you get the idea and I'm not far off. Currently its $150 and $120 on sale if you want the full game. Sorry but I gotta rant, I cant deal with these ridiculous prices anymore, every sim game company is doing it now, no current sim is under $100 if you want the full game. its so annoying. I have the majority of this content in other games already why would I pay another $300-$350 the this game once its complete in a year or two or three. The graphics aren't much better than even RF1, pause your video at 4:24 and tell me that track doesn't look like RF1 lol. We peaked a long time ago graphics wise, so what are we paying for here? Incremental force feed back? That isn't a big deal enough to keep rebuying the same content over and over. Am I the only one who doesn't want to pay a ridiculous prices for the same content over and over again just cause its labeled as new and is in a slightly newer package?

If LMU is so great, why does it have so few users? Just asking, because I really don't understand how every youtube comment is really positive, and yet it has around half the number of users as Raceroom, and 10 times less than the original Assetto Corsa. I abandoned it because I became bored of the single-player offering (Race Weekend only), but everyone that comments seems to love it.

My assumption on low user numbers: 1) Motorsports Games made terrible decisions under their previous CEO who was an idiot (like not even trying to be mean, but his track history was destroying 2 other companies before Motorsports Games). Multiple disastrous releases and licensing fiascos have led to a lack of trust and there are plenty of people who won't buy Motorsports Games products anymore. 2. Even though the new CEO is doing good things (former S397 CEO), Motorsports Games has very little cash and is barely surviving as a company. This makes people uneasy to support LMU because they worry what will happen to the title if Motorsports Games folds. 3. LMU is still marketed and sold as an Early Access title... People are getting more and more tired of unfinished launch games, so I think it turns off a lot of potential buyers. I think it's worth $37.99, try it out. The biggest thing you'll find disappointing is the lack of tracks, but just understand that going in and you won't be disappointed. It has Sebring & Le Mans, and all 7 base content tracks + 3 DLC tracks (including tomorrow's Interlagos track) are laser scanned. Tomorrow I have a video covering the third DLC pack with Interlagos, and it's a great pack. First DLC for LMU I'd recommend whole heartedly since it includes three GT3 cars (new class, previously just GTE), and Interlagos which is the best DLC track yet imo (other two are COTA & Imola).

I really like RFactor 2 and will always continue to use/support this racing game. On the other hand, LMU is too Niche of a Racing game - not enough variety like RFactor 2 is. So that said, I do not own LMU and probably never will. I have many other racing games that keep me entertained - AC 1, RFactor 2, Project Cars 2, ACC, and AMS 2. And may get the AC EVO game when it arrives, but not right away, since it will only have a handful of tracks. Note: I will never subscribe to IRacing, I only get one time buy games from STEAM. LMU game just really never interested me. I have similar tracks in my other games listed above and is good enough for me. Plus I am not really interested in a GT series only game, even though I did buy ACC, and I prefer American Race Tracks which ACC has a few.
