yeah seriously, ive been playing racing games on keyboard for a while and i dont think i would be able to drive one of these cars so well

@@boncegt4not that difficult, you just have to get used to sliding around...

@@boncegt4Well, the most important thing is being aware of the grip of the car in every moment. At high speed you can be more aggressive with the throtle or the brakes, but at low speed is when is easier to lose grip, and also easy to drive below the limits for not having enough confidence. Is not so simple to do it on keyboard, but it also depends of the simulator, because in current simulators the keyboard driving is much worse. I mean, every time you lift the keys, is like instant disconnect, it goes from 100% to 0% inmediatelly, but here in rFactor is always progressive.

Oh, and its not an 8CM, its a much newer and smaller 6CM. Looks like Team Vintage, who made this mod, initially planned to have the 8CM, but for some reasons, eventually ditched that and included the Voiturette category 6CM instead. One evidence of that is the driver lineup. Of the drivers listed, only Laszlo Hartmann raced a 6CM in the 1937 season, and he also raced an 8CM, the rest actually only raced 8CMs during the 1937 season.

So the car I knew all this time was the 6 CM and not the 8 CM? Wooow vaya. Well, not really sure what happened there.

@@NicolasSoto19 me too, really... Some early pictures of the 1937 mod when it's still a WIP showed pictures of a more or less complete 3d model of the 8CM. But, as we can see, that car never seems to have gotten into the game, and what he have instead is a later, Maserati 6CM. Oh, yeah, as the ORM team's test driver, I would also recommend our earlier 1958 Formula One mod!

I'd suggest you try our 1951 Formula One mod!

Well, I have to say, it was a very good mod, very enjoyable :) well the Alfa Romeo 158 has an interesting handling, because I can easily have alot of oversteer if I'm going too fast through the corners. I did a hot lap at Monza 1967 and in the corners, it looks like I'm going slow, but I'm as much as possible on the limit. Well the car was moving alot, but it was less difficult once I understand how much grip it has

@@NicolasSoto19Hi, test driver of the 1951 mod here! The one you drove there is what we gave the designation "159/50". Basically it's the same 1950 158 cars, but fitted with the more powerful Tipo 159 engine. It had a swing rear axle, which would explain the oversteer. The 159/51 also had swing rear axle, but with slightly worse handling because it had a fatter body to fit bigger fuel tanks, around 300 liters of fuel sloshing around the tanks won't help the handling... So, yes, the oversteer was caused by the swing rear axle, as they raised to roll centre of the rear suspension above the roll centre of the front suspension. Another contributing factor is the fact that in a swing rear axle, the rear camber changes with suspension movement. For example, braking "jacks up" the rear suspension, and doing so would give the rear wheels positive camber, not the thing you need when turning into a corner. So, keep your braking rather early in a swing axle car, and make sure you're early on the throttle through the corner, and you'll be fine... The cars designated "159/51 009" and "159M" have a De Dion rear axle, which made them easier to drive.
