I'm so freaking impressed by Vim!! Their ability to make a quality tool at a fair price, that is not just copied from another manufacturer, but a new design keeps blowing my mind!! These are professional level tools and are in a class of their own!! I hope they change the comfort grip on their ratchets in the near future because that's about the only gripe I have with them.

The spring didn't exactly look look like it was working on the first one. Or the second. Also, I'm not concerned how well they work or hold on a hardened hex bit. It's how well they hold and grip on a soft fitting

Looks to me that the extension you are putting on it is inducing a twisting force as you are applying the torque. Try it without the extension and reduce the twisting force. Bet it will produce a higher result.

Not to be “that guy”… but you really should be wearing safety glasses when you’re testing the failure point of tools. In the second new tool breakage, I could see the little metal piece fly off. Just don’t want something to happen to you for the sake of testing/footage.
