Another thing to keep in mind with that gun-less caulk is use by people with arthritis or other hand disabilities. I'm in Australia, so we don't have that brand, but we have the same item under different brands. I haven't been able to use a caulking gun for many years, but recently I had to do a project which required caulking and while I was at the hardware store, I noticed caulking with this handle-like tube. It works fantastically and doesn't cause anywhere near as much pain in my hands as attempting to use a caulking gun. Just an aspect I didn't think you'd have realised, but, for me, the additional cost is definitely worth it so I can manage the caulking without having to ask someone to come and help me. (Mind you, I'd be happier if it was the same price as other caulk because the one thing that does annoy me is having to pay so much more because I can't use the other type, but I'm still glad it's available).

The flexseal paint is awesome. My nephew sealed his 12 foot aluminum riveted boat with the stuff, and not a single drop of water has leaked into the boat since. It has been years since he did it. Before he did it we had to pump the water every half an hour which fast became tedious especially when the fish were biting. He applied the paint in 50 degree wet weather too. I told him that it would never work. The next day we took the boat out and he was smiling like a possum eating chit off a wire brush.

I was redoing the roof on my tool shed and didn't want to buy new poly roofing panels. I used flex tape to seal up old screw holes and haven't had a leak one yet. And because the roll I bought was 4 inches wide, I cut out 1 inch squares and still have about half of a 3 foot roll left. Flex tape for the win.

Along with the other commentor, the fact that you had the metal tape out as far as you did, LOWERED IT TO YOUR LEVEL STRAIGHT OUT, then back to the ceiling without it kinking and folding is literally the most impressive thing on KZbin right now. Mine folds if 2 feet are extended just to drive me insane - that was like 12 feet of tape - *straight out*!! That was awesome-sauce, dude. My husband used to purchase juice concentrates in cans. The idea was to add water and the can to a pitcher to make the juice. This would horribly stain the plastic pitchers. One day I decided to fill the pitcher with the hottest water I could and added a scoop of Oxiclean and left it to sit. I checked it a couple of hours later and the stain was gone completely. I washed the pitcher and had it for many years later.

I used the gator grip and the tiger wrench to put together a weight bench just yesterday. Some hate the gator grip but being able to throw it into a driver and quickly tighten up some bolts is very handy. These type of tools are great for a guy like me who has the proper tools but don't want to dig through a messy tool box.

My dad was a boat builder, and he has had a set of them since they first came out. With old wood boats, they will eventually need to have all the fasteners replaced. Most of the time, electrolysis has eaten away the head of the fasteners. Before we got the speedout, we would have to use vice grips to remove them. Unfortunately, the slow process of using vice grips is still the only option.

I have one of those 'tiger wrench' tools from a different brand (I think it is one of Lowe's store brands) that I keep in the truck when we are towing the travel trailer. We call it the Dog Bone. It is a very handy tool to have on the road and I use it all the time.

The Gator grip is perfect for when I'm working on old furniture, for wing nuts and the never-quite-square, cheaply made 4 sided nuts. There's lots of screw extractors out there, Project Farm testing a bunch of them, not too long ago. I have one or two Flex-Seal products floating around, somewhere. They seemed like a good idea at the time, never got used . First time at your channel, BTW. Seems pretty good, so far!

I used that flex seal tape on the connection from my tub to the p pipe on my trailer and it held for 7 years without leaking. However I tried to use it on a 30 gallon water tank on the outside and it held for like a minute then started leaking from the pressure. I cut a hole in the top and taped it from the inside and it held till the tank cracked from the sun over a year later.

My experience with speed outs is that they don't work in real life applications, usually when your screw head is stripped, it means your screw is stuck, either into a very hard wood, rusted, or somehting like that, you know, hard to get out basically. As you can see the stripped screws here in the video were so loose they tightened up when he used the drilling side of the speed outs. Only reason it worked, and funny enough the only screw that gave a little bit of trouble seemed to be the one that was kind of stuck in there, didn't twist at all when drilling it unlike all the other ones.

My wife got a gator grip for me as a stocking stuffer. I used it to take a bunch of lag bolts, j hooks and eyelets out of the walls of our garage. It ws pretty nice for that, I wouldn't put a bunch of torque on it, but for snaller things it is pretty good.

I despise the speedout so much! I went through three sets because the heads kept breaking off and never ONCE did I successfully pull out a stripped screw. It was all in metal fittings for my job, so "maybe" it works on soft wood applications but will absolutely never work on a stuck screw in metals.

I've had generic easy outs in my toolbox for years. They're a life saver when you need them. The gator grip thing sits in my toolbox. Haven't used it in ages but it is super helpful when you have some weirdly shaped broken thing that won't fit anything else. I'm pretty honestly surprised at the flex tape stuff - might have to just get some of that to stick in my emergency kit.

Some as seen on TV stuff isn't that bad, it's just overly expensive if you get it when it first comes out. I was rather happy with a blanket with arm holes in it called the "Snuggle", a heavy fleece robe basically but reversed, amazing at keeping you warm while sitting on a couch or the like. But if you bought it when on TV it was like twice the price and you paid shipping in most cases... few years latter I got it at Walmart or Target for like $15.

I used to keep one of those dog bone multi wrenches in my door pocket of my truck in the oilfield, came in very handy for jumping out and doing quick things so I wouldn't have to dig out wrenches all the time. I only used the gator grip socket for rounded over bolts and oil drain plugs on equipment but it got me out of a few jams.

I worked factory maintenance for years. I had a raggedy gator grip that i used for stripped bolt heads. It was a real time saver. I had tool boxes full of snap on. But gator came in to save time sometimes.

Harbor freight has a wrench similar to that Tiger Wrench. They come in SAE and Metric. I recommend those to everyone who trail rides. I always put the metric version in the toolbox on the SxS. They fit so many things and are pretty inexpensive if you do happen to lose it.

Worked at the get go, but cleaning it off for "correct" repair is next to impossible, which you will need to do in only a few months since both the backing and adhesive go brittle very fast (like a slab of dry lasagna). Couldn't easily clean it up at that point either😅 😅😅

I've used flex tape to block a leak in a Jacuzzi tub at a non-working jet. Worked great and sealed for a few years without issue

I remember seen a TV Ad about something called the "DUAL SAW". It was a multi-purpose circle saw with two parallel Blades that rotated at opposite directions simultaneously. Its whole Point was offering cleaner, faster, smoother cuts. I've never seen it in action but I'd love to. Thanks, John.

for those asking, the metal tape he used to take a measure to the ceiling was most likely a Stanley Fat Max. I own 3 of them and they're the only tape I'll buy.

Gotta say, used FLex Tape to cover a flat porch roof we had trouble with for years, too small a job for anyone to take, hasnt leaked since.

The SpeedOuts are great. You only use the cutting side only if the removal side doesn’t work. I’ve had mine for years, and they’re still amazing.
