The real problem with the Akatsuki are the hips which are balljointed because of the old Strike frame, and maybe the shoulders because it also keeps those balljoints. Very early RGs used balljoints everywhere for some reason. Later RGs that still kept the pre-molded frame abandoned balljoints for the hips and shoulders, limiting them to the ankles, waist and hands.

I really don't get the hate on the RG Akatsuki if I'm being honest here... i saw another vid showing how the modeler mod the RG Akatsuki's hips and from what i saw there the real issue that is causing all these drama is the ball joint... if anything it's an easy simple fix by jamming a piece of paper or a dab of super glue should be enough to fix it's stability issues and i just really don't understand all these unwarranted hate on it

The GB4 update also "fixed" Hololess Mastered Skills, which was technically a bug but consisted of a small list of Mastered Skills that didn't ruin your gunpla's appearance by replacing your parts with holograms of the parts the skills originated from. After the update, almost all Mastered Skills do this now, with the except of six. Two of them utilize a weapon hologram that it loads in without replacing the part that you have equipped, one of them is literally a self-destruct, another one makes you invisible, and the only 2 besides those are a taser wire and a speed-up skill.

Honestly, the only real reason why the Mighty Strike Freedom appearance was my favorite was that I was kind of disappointed on how much it was getting its butt kicked when it had been the overall top tier mobile suit at the end of Destiny. So it retaking that spot and the overall background music made it my favorite part of the entire movie with the opening battle scenes being second place.

Falter so badly after assembly? What?????? The only somewhat weak joints are the hips (which are easy to fix), the shoulders and ankles have been upgraded to be strong like the non-prebuilt frames.

Yes there are ways to fix the model kits but then you are paying full price for an original Bandai kit and last thing you expect is they did not fix an existing frame problem. I don't have to whine. Been into this hobby for more than 15 years and bought a bunch load a few weeks back. My question is why can't Bandai fix the problem. Don't they have a QC department to check what can go wrong at a basic level post assembly. It's a straight forward question which requires a straight answer.

I'm not sure if this is true but Gundam Seed Freedom movie might have won the prestige Anime Grand Prix rewards for the best anime of 2024. It claimed the top spot in their annual Internet buzzword rankings in 2024. It was also the highest-grossing movie in the Gundam franchise’s 45-year history. Ps. This is why I love Gundam franchise.

For the price you’re paying for the RG Akatsuki, using that inner frame is unacceptable. I understand model kits are meant to have extra work put into them like painting/detailing and fixing joints, but a kit should never have joints THIS BAD right after building it.

Very unfortunate because they made the hype over and over. People went crazy for sazabi, nu, hi nu, god, rx 78-2 2.0...and then it all ends. I still bought mine and is shipping. I also bought the pbandai exclusive unit to attach everything altogether. I was excited. I'm a SEED enjoyer. I'm ded again Bandai. Oh well, I know how to fix those joints and is extremely easy. Did people forget a model kit, is a kit? People custom things including at GBWC.

I make it a point not to buy kits that reuses super old runners. The RG Strike is 13 years old at this point. It may have been forgiveable if Bandai included a flight stand in the box as standard

No, they learnt the lesson from the Freedom GCP. This is not a Sinanju situation because the frame has been updated and the two gundams have similar proportions and weight distribution instead of reusing the exact same frame for a mech that can't be more different than the original.

Disappointing in the RG Akatsuki. Bandai should be ashamed if they even care haha. Make a public statement, issue refunds and reissue the kit in the future. Theres just no excuse for it and they werent slick by adding the base either. I wasnt sure if I wanted to spend the money on such a blinged out kit but now Im definitely not buying it. I dont care if a chinese company is making a fix for it, I refuse to spend more than I need to on something that may not even solve the issue. Bandai finally failed the RG line agian. I didnt expect it to be this bad, but knew it was doomed when they announced the old strike frame for the legs. They should have canned the cost of the gold plating for a fully brand new frame

It's another thing to be in straight-up denial about the flaws and try to dupe others into getting said bad product. And then keep telling others "consume consume, don't ask questions, just spend money. ERG kits are perfect. Just buy them. They have no flaws" The issue is that there are many in the community. With this kind of mindset. And then they try to dupe new builders into buying these bad kits. In which makes new people, to just never try gunpla again. Because of the bad experience from said bad kit. Because many of these "veteran" builders have a very sick sense of elitism. And thus think that people shouldn't be allowed in the hobby. Unless they can build the same bad kits that they did.
