G’day Johnny, just watched this vid, awesome one mate, my collie engine light came on today, I checked with OBD11 says MAF sensor. Just curious what km’s on your car, 130,000 on mine. I’ll have a go at cleaning sensors, yours were very dirty so I’m expecting mine to be same, cheers

I have an MY19 Trailblazer. I’ve removed the 8mm bolt OK. The MAP unit will swivel freely but doesn’t pull out freely. I’m reluctant the use force in case I break anything. Any advice???

needs to gentle pull, has an o-ring sealing it, pull up evenly around the bolt hole and it will come out without breaking anything

Rock it back and forth. Just a little wiggle to begin with, while pulling up at same time. Put a small smear of rubber grease on the O ring for easy removal at next service.

Hi Johnny. My 2017 merc has a MAP but no MAF. l swear no MAF. 1.6 litre turbo petrol engine. Any idea how a mercedes runs without a MAF. cheers

Engines without a MAF sensor are tuned using a method called "speed density", which uses the ideal gas law to calculate the volume of oxygen entering the engine using the manifold pressure and intake air temp (IAT). This is an estimate, rather than an actual measured value from a MAF sensor. This is common-place on aftermarket/modified engines, as often the MAF sensor can become a restriction. MAF sensors can also be problematic on modified engines with large camshaft overlap due to reversion at idle.

Hi, the egr looks to be buried deep in the engine bay, is it difficult to remove and replace. Cheers.

No once the engine cover is off it easy just the 1 bolt to take it out , cheers

@@johnnykkkk thanks mate, just spray some on it and wipe it with a rag?? For some reason when I put my foot down abit too hard in my 2013 Colorado (2.8 duramax) it comes up with (engine power reduced) then sort of cuts out and I have to stop, put it in park then it starts straight away again

Check with a scan tool if you have any codes

@@johnnykkkk yes it has been checked apparently and it said a HPF sensor, or fuel rail pressure sensor? But not sure if this is correct just wanting to see if anyone has ran into this problem before I buy it you know
