Great showcase and music. Got my Trinitron, Pi4 with Argon One M.2, SATA SSD all loaded up with games and just patiently waiting for the RGB-PI scart cable to arrive. Cant wait to finally play arcade games on a CRT after all these years.

@@PresidentOfTheUSA I returned the Argon One M.2 and bought the Argon One V2 instead. Reason is because the M.2 does not have an accessible MicroSD slot and as RGB-PI is in alpha stage you will be frequently re flashing the card with the OS. All my roms are on a 256GB MicroSD A2 card with USB 3.0 reader. RGB-PI OS4 is a great experience. Boots up and shutdowns fast, slick and lightweight OS. Love it! Really stable as well and does not feel like its in alpha stage.

@@PresidentOfTheUSA Also on the M.2 they use a rather chunky USB3 bridge connector on the back that connects the M.2 to the PI which makes it difficult to put another USB device in the top USB port.

@@davieslm If I have troubles with the roms and bios I will come back to you.. According to RBG-Pi Wiki all I need to do is to plug in an external harddrive with roms and bios and the OS will do the rest. Does OS4 support Dreamcast? And If I want to play arcade games, what I need to do? Lastly, can I use a controller with a wireless dongle?

Absolutely love the RGBpi jamma, also great work on the pi4 OS it’s near perfection, and the best way to expierience classic arcade crt gaming. The only thing missing for me is the option to use one of the dual video outputs to be able to add a second screen to use a dynamic lcd marquee, hopefully it will be added 😁

This looks so incredible! I can't wait to get my hands on the new system! I'm so happy that I bought a G-Con 2 a few weeks ago, after I saw the short test video showing the usage of said Lightgun. I backed the RGB-Dual Kickstarter for Recalbox, but I'm sure RGB-Pi 4 will be superior. Especially because of the Lightgun compatibility. Using a Wiimote works, but the aiming is not accurate. Especially after I compared it to G-Con2 Gameplay on my PS2. I love the dynamic themes! I'm not a big fan of the latest interface. I liked the old one more where it had big images for the different systems. You guys do a great job and I am very happy with my RGB-Pi cable. Retrogaming on my CRT is a blast since I have it!!!

I have asked and asked, tried on the Discord groups with no reply. I cannot get any other roms to be detected on a game search other than mame 2003plus. Can anyone please give me some idea what might be the issue. Tried contacting RGP PI and they just sent me to discord groups and didn't even attempt to help me. Any help appreciated from anyone please, thank you. Tried on RP4 and RP2 using ext USB formatted using there software, mame2003plus roms come up fine, nothing else shows.

first impression.......alpha rel. so ofcourse...here are a lot of emulators missing that could already be there immediately both in part those you already manage with a pi3 but also those only for pi4 .... testing what this version offers ... I can tell you that dreamcast works well, even if it struggles a bit (frames) and above all there are some graphic problems (textures) here and there, probably due to Core retroarch .... I point out that the same games with the same pi4 but retropie / emulationstation in hdmi, there are no and the game is more fluid ... (virtual tennis, the house of dead 2, taxy driver 2 ...) the double option 240/480 pixels, is excellent ... and in essence we can say that the dreamcast is good for an alpha version ... now the downside ... when you have to insert the MAME roms ... you only have 2 possibilities .... or you put them on mame or on fba then once done the SCAN ... you are shown related games ... or only on the MAME folder or only on FBA ... because the roms should be all together under ARCADE .... and you can then choose whether to run them all by default with mame, or as the case may be with FBA ... And here is the flaw because not only should there be the possibility to configure every single game with which arcade emulator ... but there should also be various options to be able to "complete" the whole landscape of games mame well ... i.e., mame 2003 plus, advmame, mame 2010, mame 2016, and mame new, over FBA only in this way can you be sure to make all the games work at the top BUT there is another problem ... while the games in landscape, (HOR) almost all are shown well, in full screen with a native resolution or at least close to the native ... on that vertical disaster ... Many like me keep the monitor horizontally, playing the verticals with the 2 black side bands ... but the game is shown perfectly , without wrong or worse interlaced resolutions ... in this case, everything starts in interlaced at 640x480 with a flickering therefore annoying ... and there is no way to change in 240p .... if not partially on the retroarch menu .... (for experts only) in my opinion, the first thing to do is to intervene on this problem, gather all the mame games on a single folder, and be able to choose which emulator to run each single game with (leaving one fixed by default, selectable) ... the second thing, to set the resolution to 240p for vertical games and not to 640x480! ... I am obviously at your complete disposal to test .....

We only support the 2 arcade cores that support native refresh rates and have good emulation quality. Mame 2003 is very old and emulates many games wrongly. Mame 2010, 15 and 16 uses even more resources than the mainstream one and all of them have VSYNC issues and micro jumps when the image scrolls. The best Arcade core is FBNeo by far, good emulation preccision, low resources, perfect resolutions and timings and lgun support among other. We have MAME as a fallback for games that are still not supported in FBNeo. TATE games must run in interlaced and not in 240p, otherwise you are missing vertical lines dues to the lower resolution compared to game resolution.

It depends. Some lgun systems require having the same connected as P2 others as P1. On P1 mode a regular game would be controlled with the lgun integrated game pad

I've tried the alpha image , congratulations that after 2 years you finally discovered the rpi-dipac driver and retroarch native switchres, now pls drop that piece of garbage of a frontend , it's utter uber crap, and use emulationstation like every other human. That frontend is beyond bad , it's totally unusable, i feel sorry for who wasted his time coding it in python
