@@kev13hunt Well, that wasn't a good game to begin with. It's easily the worst in the Arkham trilogy. What will really hype me up is seeing how Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal run on Switch 2! If I remember right, Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal both had their FPS set to "unlimited", while using dynamic resolution to keep the game at ~30fps. I'm hoping that they could run at a higher fps on Switch 2, or at the least keep the frame rate more consistent and smooth.

I like how Nintendo didn’t compare it to the Switch OLED, especially when showing that Switch 1 games are compatible with the new Switch 2. Comparing it to the original Switch works better because the large screen bezels on the Switch 1 make the new Switch 2 look much more modern by comparison. On the other hand, the Switch OLED’s smaller bezels are likely similar to those on the new Switch 2, which might make the differences less striking.

It's because you have to be able to use both joycons as a single controller. Wouldn't work if one of them had a d-pad. The switch lite has a regular d-pad

Yeah, that frustrates me too. I have several sets of extra Joy-Cons, I absolutely NEVER use the left and right as separate players. If I ever play with someone else I hand them a complete set of Joy-Cons or other full controller to play with. I'd much rather they have a regular Dpad on the left Joy-Con. I actually got a 3rd party left Joy-Con on Amazon that has a Dpad, just no rumble and it's not wireless.

1-Not a fan of the new magnet latching system. The sliding rail is more secure and practical, and it’s honestly more fun and iconic. But I can learn to love it. 2-I don’t like how they didn’t even give a thought to making the controllers more ergonomic on the hands. I owned an OLED and that thing was not comfortable at all. New one bigger and probably heavier, so it’s gonna be more painful to play with it. 3rd party manufacturers better step up their game to give me something that I can hold comfortably. 3-They better work on replacing the old janky laggy OS, and give us an INTERNET BROWSER THIS TIME!!

I didnt expect Nintendo to take a big risk on out of the box ideas, its obvious they want to play it safe but i did expect some features that players want such as a oled screen, back buttons, better haptics, improved motion controls etc. instead we are getting a uncomfortable mouse/joycon that youll only be able to use docked/table top mode on a table with a very limited number of games & a chat/social button 😔

2023 gave us the 3D entry TOTK, and 2024 gave us the 2D Echoes of Wisdom. It's usually around 5 years between 3D titles these days, so while I'd love to see it, I'm not holding my breath

One rumor about Mario Kart 9 was it was "with a twist." I think it perhaps means they will integrate other games into the game, similar to Smash Bros. Note the "Mario Bros. Circuit" sign at the beginning of the course. That seems to indicate there will be other IPs within the game itself, such as the "Metroid Circuit" or the "Kirby Circuit," etc, etc.

I'm thinking the C stands for cursor mode? So we can use it like a mouse maybe. I just hope they do more with the Switch itself. The DS/ 3DS had more going for it. We had messaging and media support for watching things on our device. Hopefully it's not just stability fixes.

@@AtomicBoo I bet Ring Fit is one of those games that may not be compatible with the new system. The new joycons won't fit in the ring, so the game isn't compatible. If you can bluetooth pair the old ones it would fix that problem, but that would still mean that that game isn't 100% compatible right out of the box with a new Switch 2.

I agree that the joy cons moving like a "mouse" was a clue. The use case for leaning the screen back so much could be for playing games while using the joycons like a computer mouse. For playing RTS games and such. That would explain the sensor we are seeing on the new joycons.
