But religion was created for descipile and harmony among people ( though its not same today which everyone is condemning ofcourse) which is serving a higher purpose than what caste can serve

a Lower Caste perspective of Caste and It Effects: Village level : Caste effects 1 : People who are doing menial jobs like man hole scavengers, sweepers, tanners are doing such work becoz of their caste and you'll find 100% reservations in such jobs to only to particular caste's. Caste effect 2 : Because of their work they are not economically sound which leaded to Economical backwardness. Caste effect 3: Denial of Education ,Land and Spiritual Access to such caste's from centuries leaded to Ignorance. Caste Effect 4: Because of the kind of job's they do, the people of such caste's were seen low and it got stereotyped and the hierarchy of caste's was laid down which reduced their Human Dignity or Dignity of Lab our Caste Effect 5: Allie nation of such Caste's from the Village society becoz of their Caste kept them Socially Isolated from the Society Caste Effect 6: the Alienated Caste's develop their own cultural,food,traditions and even religion's Caste Effect 7: Because of lack of Political Power becoming the victims of political Justice Caste Effect 8: Urban level: Caste Effect 1: Because of the cultural and food habits when they come to Urban Area's for better life, Getting a house for Rent become's the most Difficult part. First their Caste is Asked and even these people are economically better than those they are denied giving a house for rent -this from personal experience. Caste Effect 2: Marriage outside the Caste leading to Honour Killing's (Sairat Movie is the Best Example and a Recent Cases in Tamil Nadu) Caste Effect 3: They were beaten and Killing up for eating Beef which was part of their Food habits (many incidents )

i think neither swapna nor rgv tried to see caste aspect from lower caste perspective, as they were not victims of caste, they won't feel it nor experience pain as long as, it doesn't affect them..

Why caste feeling is bad ? Feeling love towards own cast by it self is not bad. But in a society of intense competition when every one is trying to reach the top , replacing merit with caste is bad. That leads to mediocrity and not development in society. Also, to seek public mandate based on caste or religion is bad , when it should be on ideology of the political outfit. Well, I understand that there is no ideal world, but to equate patriotism with Caste feeling is being overly simplistic. What RGV feels or proposes is that Patriotism, regionalism,caste feeling are all there , so let us accept them.. defeatist attitude

Religion is for descipline to live with harmony. Nationality is a divide for ruling people with order for easy purpose which came naturally . But caste is not serving any purpose. I agree with Ramu saying people having caste feeling is irrelavent for me but it is relavant when some one encourages only their sect of people for economic benefits for only reason of their caste feeling being blind and taking away chances of eligible people of other castes. Giving economic benefits for people of low castes is ok for me because it serves to reduce the economic rift among people which in some ways is good. I first time disagree with Ramu

1st time I'm down voting the video, felt Ramu is not looking the issue in the broader perspective. Swapna if you happen to read this pls find out Ramu's view on these points. 1. Honour killings. Women are deprived of higher education, not allowed to work because of fear that they may get involved with other caste men. Here we are depriving women of individual and economic empowerment, there by affecting whole society. Depriving individuals from freedom of choice and expression ( for both men and women). Suppressed society never prospers. 2. Bigger groups doesnt live long or live in flashes, formed because of regional/ religion feeling etc. There may be more harmful but they happen once in a while ( ex; World war because of nationalism, godra killings ). Caste feeling has long term affect. We cant forget constant societal pressure on individuals. Hard truth is 90% Indians live on the terms of society, thinking what society feels/ thinks about them. Here I go with Swapna ( caste feeling Chepa kinda neerula pakuthundi). 3. Ramu is just talking about the leaders (with some mission vision / personality/ego ), successful people, economically motivated people etc. These people are way above all these petty things like caste, region etc. They have bigger purpose in life and start associating with people of their level/ ideas. Problem is with people who has lesser ambitions, lesser intellectual levels , who constitute about 70-80% of our society.

I'll try to explain from what I understood by this... 1.he is not saying that casteism is right...instead he is saying that casteism is relatively better than regionalism,patriotism...etc...honour killings are there but it may even happen with other so called isms....like honour killing may be severe in a Hindu-Muslim case or even more higher in india-Pakistan case ...but probability of honour killings may happen more because most of the people may be limited to certain areas ....so ...as region is subdivided into castes so issue may happen multiple times in the same platform...don't take number into count....consider intensity.....eventually what he is trying to say is casteism is as bad as all other isms ... p.s: sorry for not explaining others...as I'm feeling bored typing all this which made 15 min of time...as I am slow in typo..but I think u got my point.

Effects of patriotism: are too far for an average person.. they occur rarely. no one suffer because of patriotism except army jawans. Effects of religion ism: there is no particular hierarchy in religion , every religion feels, it is superior to other, the claim for authority of one religion over other is the problem of religion where it effect's common people , during communal violence, and place where communal tensions happen, people get worst effected. today in the real world caste is playing no role developed and urbanised countries like USA does not have caste system but in a developing country like india caste is playing a crucial role and it is directly or indirectly supported by the indian government system,like having job reservations,having reservations for even competitive exams like the EAMCET for the SC,ST,BC,OBC it was meant for a good reason in the past as they were culturally,politically,socially backward classes but today even the OC are doing jobs like working in manholes and all kinds of jobs and after a necessary age every parent has to tell their child about caste reservation(atleast in the OC families)to tell about how OC kids should work harder than other low caste kids and i dont understand for what reasons there should be caste certificates when there are job,exam reservations and you are even having caste certificates what is wrong in having caste feeling what RGV sir said is 100 percent true
