I watched Rhad years ago with his virtuous game, right before wendigos. That person and the current one feels like different players. He was already a good player but little things I'm catching up makes me think he's on another level now. Like him actually using keybinds, keeping up with manual cleaning, keeping pawns drafted to save time on pathing, plan-naming the rooms, all those little things contributing efficiency; I'm just amazed.

Cleanliness to prevent food poisoning is derived from the cooking part, right? If so, wouldnt the kitchen in a tiny room by itself entered by only the cook be better than cooking in a room where people track in stuff all day?

That helps but the problem is if its a tiny room one spot of dirty and the food poison risk skyrockets

@@MarcCastellsBallesta You can finagle it with more doors, but the important thing is that you don't get a thoroughfare. Doors in an L-shape or even a U shape usually works fine.

About Neanderthals being a bit dull; That is being kinda unfair to them. Research has shown that they very likely had the same intellectual potential that modern man does. The reason we're still around and they're not is simply Adaptability. We were able to adapt to changes in our environment, probably due to being more aggresive and curious, whereas they weren't. And to be fair, when they went extinct they had existed for somewhere between 100.000-150.000 more years than we have now.

To remind you, Rimworld neanderthals are probably not true neanderthals but a result of archotect meddling. Much like pig skins that were originally created for organ harvesting, poor things, I would guess Rimworld Neanderthals are the result of archotects trying to create disposable, strong melee grunts.

I double checked. According to Wiki Rimworld Neanderthals are based on true Neanderthals and resurrected from found ancient dna, Jurassic Park style. But still they are not true descendants of true Neanderthals just like Jurassic Park dinos are not real dinos, that is my head canon and I stick by it. 😁

after thousands of hours on rimworld to do everything meta is pretty boring. I rather roleplay my run and add some fun twists! the new dlc is fantastic, i'm a big fan of lovecraftian stuff, so this is like bread and butter for me! i'm gonna play the crap out of it this weekend lol loving the 2 new series, cheers mate!

its interesting to see how other people build colonies. I was wondering is there a reason i see so many people doing 3 wide hallways I usually go with 2x so pawns can easily pass without getting bunched up does 3x have any benefits?

With 3 wide you can have choke points 1 wide and stack 3 brawlers to kill enemies that have you face you 3x1, probably the biggest benefit of 3 wide. Given we have a mountain base it helps to have these sorts of choke points everywhere for the bugs.
