I so hope Season 2 shows Daemon and Rhaneara find their way back to each other. They are so good together. What happened to their closeness was the saddest part of the finale to me....and the other things that happened all of them sad....broke them!

They were already on the way back together at the last shot when Daemon held her hands to tell her the death of Lucerys. The scence was improvised by Matt Smith. In London comic con a few days ago, Matt said he felt conflicted about the choke. Matt Smith seemed to have different understanding of how Daemon would behave.

This was the exact song I said describes their relationship they love each but the bed can also be a battlefield of it's own. No couple is perfect we all have flaws these two seem to feed off each other and as long as they understand and are okay with that... who are to we to judge? So many other songs come to mind too like pink true love lol I love you so much but want to punch you in face lol some people have that kinda love... intense some say passionate but we haven't seen him truly hurt her so if she was okay with this display I say we let them have it you know.

At first I was shocked Daemon choked her but I remember his backstory and his tendency for violence. So to see at least even Rhaenyra was not scared of him and not sad after he choked her, made me realize "damn she can handle that? Oh well I guess it is not that bad".

Daemon and Rhaenyra are mourning several losses and facing war. That doesn't make it okay for him to get physical like that but I don't see anything separating the two of them. I didn't think either of them appeared to be fine with it though. They both looked shocked and angry.

@@summer8856 Yeah I've struggled myself back n forth for many reasons but I myself wouldn't forgive him but that's due to my personal experiences and can't compare to what they have with each other it works for some people. I guess we'll have to wait till season 2 to actually see where this takes us because we are all sure sure rhaenyra dies but will have to see how they spend there last moment together cause anything after that is a moot point. Fingers crossed 🤞 thou good luck season 2

This. This is the type of video I've longed to see. For all the creatively-edited Daemyra videos with romantic/spicy songs that keep being made, few of them stand the test of time, because almost all making their relationship seeming too... tame. Daemon and Rhaenyra were never tame; regardless of how one is more wild than the other, both share the Blood of the Dragon... Twin flames may be meant to burn together but such a volatile power should be a cautionary tale, not one to aspire towards and idolize. Don't misunderstand. Daemon and Rhaenyra's relationship was the highlight of this season for me... but people romanticize it too much. I love them, but only as fascinating characters with an intoxicating dynamic, not as the "ideal couple goals" some seem to have viewed them as. Rhaenyra was a female reflection of Daemon in her youth, and he was all she wanted to be, so they were immensely attracted to each other as a result. This, combined with their headstrong and competitive nature, made every conversation of theirs feel more like a confrontation, or a duel of wits. From their secret meeting in the Throne Room, through the next 20 years up to their disagreement over a ruler's duty on Dragonstone, a balance of power exists, which one is nearly always attempting to dismantle by outwitting the other - at one point this even happens subconsciously. A relationship where every moment is a battle is not exactly something to strive towards, but it is nothing if not captivating. There was always this feeling of Rhaenyra being the only one capable of subduing Daemon, same as a dragonrider would tame a dragon... but as we saw with Vhagar and Arrax, a dragon can never be enslaved. Daemon is an emotional wreck, impulsive and violent, and these traits have caused him to (either accidentally or purposefully) hurt her, while Rhaenyra has almost always one-upped him in their little "duels"; even when he had clear physical dominance over her or when he had taken her to a completely unknown environment, she nonetheless emerged the victor - knowingly or otherwise. They understand each other like no one else ever could, are two sides of the same coin, soul-mates, meant to be, but that is exactly why their union is so chaotic... "maybe that's what happens when a tornado meets a volcano."

@@galacticwildfire I know I’m the one that referenced it first but I think its a bit early to use that song. Their relationship isn’t on that level of toxic/destructive yet as they’ve only just crossed the "physical abuse" line, and even then, I interpret it as another of Daemon’s impulse-based bluffs and not him straight-up wanting to hurt Rhaenyra for not listening to him. Of course, in the end you decide but I just wanted to throw in my two cents 🙃

@@galacticwildfire BTW just wanted to add that the editing of this video is just incredible; you found just the right moments that reflect the lyrics of the song. This might just be me projecting my own interpretations onto your video but 1) "in this tug of war, you always win, even when I'm right", 2) "its sick that all these battles are what keeps me satisfied", and 3) "so maybe I'm a masochist" and the scenes used for each were so incredibly fitting for Daemon and Rhaenyra's dynamic - the last two stand out the most because they could be from both character's POV. 1. in their argument over Rhaenyra being too peaceful/weak like Viserys, I do believe Daemon was in the right, but he accidentally showed his hand (his insecurity over Viserys never trusting him), which once again left Rhaenyra as the winner of their duel. 2. their stand-off during her wedding to Laenor where she taunts and goads him is the best example of this, its just like their confrontation on the Dragonstone bridge, maybe even their non-verbal exchange in the brothel; the constant back-and-forth is a thrill that they thrive on, one that no one else can offer them, so they keep longing for it... and each other 3. "masochist" being sung as the video cuts between the pair, where one had just released the other from a stranglehold before they quickly settled another battle of wits, with both of them smiling at each other... chills.

Really like this interpretation from you about Daemyra relationship and dynamic. They're not ideal and not inspiring romance but that is why to me, actually compelling. After many predictable ideal couple goals in fictions whether books and movies and tv series, Daemyra stands out. But this couple is not for the soft hearts lol.

I can handle their toxic mess of a relationship, which is their ultimate downfall. They do share the blood of the dragon, both chaotic and restless. Both made of fire and both meant to burn together. Like Daemon is truly loyal to his family and is looking for a legacy (not the throne) but Rhaenyra, her kids, and their kids are all apart of it. This is his house, and he wants his house returned to its proper glory. Hess said that you can't really define what they have as love, because its more like they share an intense primal connection. However, I honestly draw the line at cheating. So when he does that, I'll be done with him and back Rhaenyra completely alone. Loyalty is Loyalty. In politics and at home. Sorry lol.

We are not sure if the cheating will be or not in the show version 😅 Besides, the cheating could be as rumour anyway in the book. He has already big fandom for himself, even after he killed woman, so the cheating won't effect his image, he was never ideal boyfriend 😂 and I am sure Rhaenyra was obssesed with her dear Uncle not because he's prince charming.

Easy it was to sudden he had every right to question it because despite how he looked viserys was still alive then all of sudden he dies and the greens upsurp rhaenerya it was immediate like it was planned all along and he was questioning what Alicent was giving viserys plus he was in anger and pain over the loss of his brother.
