That depends on how much you take returnee seasons into consideration. If we're judging individual winning games, I would have Derrick and Andy top 2. Yeah neither were great tv, but both were in cahoots with everyone and would have been safe in almost every scenario. Dan and will both could have gone home if the wrong person won hoh.

You also have to account for the fact that most of these people, especially in the later seasons, are essentially actors. Whenever they're on tv, on a podcast, or talking to fans they're a character. So an issue becomes how long can they act for.

No offense, really, but Brent is killing these rankings. Without spoiling the episode, where he ranked Derrick, Boogie and Andy, etc.. . I know these lists are tough to make, but he made some egregious choices. 1. Will 2. Dan 3. Derrick 4. Hayden 5. Andy 6. Maggie 7. Jun 8. Boogie Don't have the time to actually do some research to form my bottom half. But my top 8 looks something like this.

Alex Kidwell and I may be soulmates. Literally the exact same rankings and a similar argument for Dr. Will over Dan. I do believe Dr. Will is more charismatic because he has a natural charm, humour, and just a certain je ne sais pas that I don't believe Dan has. As far as I can recall, no one was ever venomously bitter towards the game Will played but they were towards Dan's. Will wins if he makes it to the end in BB7, but in no scenario does Dan win in BB14. Taran makes a good point about the jury just refusing to give the money to a coach and previous winner, however I was always of the understanding that a fair part of it was because they were butthurt about Dan's cutthroat game. I think Dan was unable to manage the jury successfully the second time around (although to his credit, he did it masterfully the first time), but it's absolutely essential to do, and thus a glaring hole in his gameplay the second time around. I do agree with Jordan and think you have to consider the casts they played with a second time, players who have played 2 times are more than likely going to be stronger and learn from their mistakes. A new cast is just inherently more green and more naive when dealing with returning players, and this is evident in BB14, but also the other returnee season, BB13, and several survivor returnee vs newbie seasons too. A returning player always makes it to the end and normally dominates the entirety of the season. I do think Dan is good enough to do extremely well in an All-Stars season but we haven't yet seen it and we have seen Dr. Will totally manipulate, at one point or another, every single player in BB7 which is something that shouldn't be easy to do, however Will made it look easy. All of that said, Dr. Will & Dan are obviously in a tier of their own, and I would consider both of them masters of the game. I also think Dan has more passion for the game, which I think is a point on his side as I think this then means he has more of a drive to win than Will. Also, on a side note, I disagree with Brent's point of if you face adversity, you're not as good of a winner b/c you shouldn't have gotten into that position in the first place. I think it's almost inevitable in a 2-3 month long game, and also sometimes automatic, through no fault of your own (especially if it's early on), you can just end up in that position. I mean I do agree it is certainly impressive if you're always able to avoid it, but I think it shows your chops more as a player whether or not you're able to maneuver and adapt when the circumstances are less than favourable. That's what makes Dr. Will and Dan Gheesling so great, because they were able to do just that; although playing with the odds stacked against them, they were able to dig themselves out of the hole and make it to the end in a grand fashion.

Comparing those juries is unfair tho bc one is an all star cast so they obviously want the best player to win. But s14 were mad because they didn’t think they’d be playing with returners and also they didn’t want to give the money to A) a winner and B) someone who already had a chance to play

You can't control that since Frank was never going to not target Dan and had the coaches not came into the game the week they did it's possible that Dan would have never been on the block at all.

I am no fan of Boogie but to say he did nothing in BB14 is crazy,it was his idea to get Dan/Danielle to backdoor Janelle.and he is not lying by saying he wasn't into playing BB14,he was the only coach not to hit the reset button and would of won 100k as Ian won the game,his downfall was he put all his eggs in Frank's basket,Dan IMO is the best ever,maybe it's because i had feeds during both his seasons,funny enough i loved BB1 and actually quit watching BB early on during BB2 for 7 years,returned for BB9 and never looked back,i have since watched all seasons and some multiple times.my top 5 are 5-Mike Malin 4-Andy Herren 3-Derrick Lavasseur 2-Will Kirby 1-Dan Gheesling

As per Dan or Will, I agree with Taran. Will is the most organic big brother player ever; his genius lies in the fact that he doesn't get blood on his hands, but gets blood on his body, which veils his appearance as a threat, from house perception, in a manner since unsurpassed. He accomplishes this with the best reading ability we've seen yet, and a social presence that's entertaining enough to blind its witnesses to its hegemony. Its tempting to think Will is the better player. I mean, he's the only player below the best player ever. It could be argued they're equally great. We're splitting hairs here, people. But just saying -- if that were Dan in All Stars final four, he would have ensured Erika's trust to not work against him at all costs. Why? Because Dan's relentless, and Will is not. Dan's ability to get out of every single situation seems untouchable. While Will stands as an impressive feat of social force in the laws of Big Brother, Dan demolishes these laws. He breaks the laws and doesn't get evicted -- like a Mist. The Mist also ensures that Dan is good with the house and has a beat on it. The one time the house went against the Mist, in 14, the guy euthanized his game, like a thespian, only to rebuild the structures of each relationship with the remaining houseguests in an order which led to their own destruction. Only to leave him, and one remnant of the bomb, of the Mist, in the Final Two. Never evicted. Great job, guys.

Old video, so probably no one cares! But - Will did want to win the game over Boogie, so it definitely wasn't Will's primary intention for Boogie and not him to win (Will doesn't take the game very seriously, but he definitely likes the limelight and what would be better than to be the sole double winner of BB?) - At one point Will asked Chicken George to put himself up (against Erika), in an effort to boot out Erika (who was not only a challenge threat, but also Boogie's seccond closest ally after Will himself). Boogie then inadvertantly screwed that up when he threatened chicken george with the secret power to not put Will up and succeeded (and looking back, if Boogie was actually aware of it, then he would get some points on his gameplay in that he actually did intend to win the game and not let Will win it, but from what I remember, Boogie was just really mad because his friend is going to be put up, and not realizing that Will's intention was to be put up so Erika will go home. He basically accidentally screwed it up for Will and helped himself without realizing it). From that point on, Erika having stayed in the game from that point on had huge impacts on how the end game played out for Will. And as for Will being in an all stars season vs Dan being in a 3/4 newbie season, I think it's a complete wash since Will got to take Boogie with him to play. Dan didn't get to take someone he could fully trust without doubt, and Dan being a winner amongst newbies meant he was that much less likely to be able to get votes in the end vs Will, who will have a jury filled with 2nd time players who would be more fair with the voting.

Keep in mind the ways the meta game has changed, and the fact that without her 911 relative there, she wont be handed an alliance.

I would put Jun above Hayden though, she didn't really rely on anyone except herself. Hayden had 3 other people looking out for him, whereas Jun was essentially alone the whole game. Her strategy was near flawless and she was smart enough to drag someone who was more hated than her into the final 2. Hayden had 3 others doing the dirty work but Jun's own intuition and strategy carried her swiftly into the final 2.

35:40 I personally am not that high on Eric either. He was rude (at times) and one trait about him that hinders his game is that he could be very blunt. For example, he said to Jen, "As happy as you are to be leaving, we're happier." To leave that type of last impression on 1/7 of the voters is a big risk with no reward. And goodbye messages are the time to suck up to jurors, he failed in that in my opinion.

I agree her win was heavily influenced by BBPro but I ranked her as high as I did because her game took a complete 180 after Brendan left the house. She was less concerned about making good TV and had her eyes on the prize. Her adaptability is definitely a contributing factor to her win imo. Obviously shes not a dan/derrick but theres something to be said about how well she turned her situation around and completely removed the target on her back.

Jun evicting (or pushing to evict, she was HOH so she didn't actually vote) Jee at F5 in BB4 was a good move. Either way, Jee or Robert would be the prime target going into the next week. Even though Robert ultimately wins the next HOH, Jee was easily the better competitor of the two. He was also the most liked person in the F5 and, with that jury, probably would have won near unanimously against anyone in the F5. If Jun evicts Robert, she is choosing to keep the stronger of two players with equal sized targets on their backs. If she evicts Erika, she kills the girls alliance and the Dream Team are half of the F4. Most importantly, however, Jun raises her floater genius through the roof in evicting Jee. Once Jee is gone, Robert and Erika are thus seen as the new couple and Allison is forced to work even closer with Jun as opposed to Erika. The only reasons Jun would want to keep Jee would be to use Jee as a meatshield and/or hope that Jee would take her to the end, but Robert was an equal sized meatshield (who was less of a threat than Her) and she didnt want Jee to take her to the end, she wanted Allison or Erika to.

My rankings. I look at their game in of itself. 18. Evel Dick (he is gone at Final 9 without America's player) 17. Jordan (she can always get to end game but neither of her games felt natural) 16. Adam (Bb9 cast is such an anomaly so I think he would be an early out in most casts) 15. Josh (same with Adam but him being such a fan gives a slight edge) 14. Ian (him being so clueless during the game hurts his chances, but he was a decent player and knew when to jump ship from Boogie and Frank) 13. Rachel (I still maintain that Pandora's Box was rigged for Jordan and Rachel would have been been fine. She wins Final 6 veto and Final 5 HOH regardless, then at Final 4 Porsche or Kalia is probably breaking up Adam and Shelly regardless) 12. Steve (very aware of his position and a big killer instinct, did have to win comps but always knew where he was and was never targeted until Final 4 from what I remember) 11. Boogie (everything Brent said) 10. Nicole (not being nominated to Final 4 is amazing, her first appearance does hamper her a bit) 9. Lisa (her social game and kindness is great and reminds me if Jordan had a killer edge) 8. Drew (I think he is the only winner to not be on the block come eviction night, that alone deserves Top 10 and cutting Diane is great) 7. Hayden (he is so bland, and he is a great winner he was the closest with people outside of The Brigade which gives him more of an edge) 6. Dr. Will (I can't getting over the fact that there was no veto in BB2. He is a master of the game but that one factor removes him from the Top 5) 5. Jun (she was a masterminded knew Allison was hated, and her floating and coming off as a non threat was fascinating to watch) 4. Derrick (Not being nommed til Final 3 was great, but I have always seen BB16 cast as one of the weakest) 3. Maggie (running a cult as hardcore as she did was fascinating to watch) 2. Andy (Rat float perfection) 1. Dan (Everything Brent and Taran said)

Why Jordan praises Lisa Donovan for being capable of going far, no matter what season it is, but not Jordan Lloyd, who, far as strategy is concerned, isn't that much worse than Lisa, who, like you all said, was tutored... I personally think they hold the Coup de tat against Jordan,granted if Jessie does not go chances are he wins his 3rd HOH and sends Jeff or Jordan home,but she may be the most likable of all winners,her Social game is darn near the top and when she had to win she did,Granted i agree all 3 of the final 3 had no business being there,all the big players were out,still Jordan won her 2 parts of the HOH against self described "Physical threat" Natalie and Mental Threat Kevin.

I think the final 3 in 11 isn't great, but it isn't irredeemable. I think the deserved final 3 in that season should go to Kevin, Michelle, and Jordan. Some would put Jeff where Jordan is, but screw that. She's closer to what Big Brother is than Jeff is. Jeff was a mouthpiece for the American dream or something. Something silly anyway. Jordan may be vacant upstairs overall, but she represents the social piece of the game perfectly from the theoretical get-go: someone who is amicable, sociable, and able to be someone their peers thinks about. They may not think terribly deep things about Jordan Lloyd, but they think of her cat-like house presence. Seriously, she has great BB stats for a reason -- she comes with the house is how it seems! Anyway, cheerio.
